Is ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Teasing the Young Avengers? Casting Choices and Video Suggest It!
Daredevil: Born Again is one of the most anticipated upcoming MCU projects for live-action series. While it isn’t Daredevil’s debut in the MCU, it will integrate the Defenders Saga more closely with the mainline MCU.
The show promises to delve deeper into the street-level side of the MCU, a fan-favorite aspect that has been in demand as the universe explores more Multiversal themes.
Recent D23 footage leaks reveal that Daredevil: Born Again may have potential ties to the Young Avengers. The teaser trailer has unveiled intriguing plot details and characters for the upcoming season.
It’s officially confirmed that Muse will be the main villain, and White Tiger will make an appearance, validating earlier set leak speculation. Additionally, Bullseye will start the season in jail.
The show hints at a tentative alliance between Matt Murdock and Kingpin, though it seems likely to unravel. Interestingly, the series connects to Ms. Marvel by featuring Yusuf Khan, Kamala Khan’s father.
In the footage, Yusuf appears twice: first in court, making a gesture as if guns are aimed at him, and later in the trailer’s final moments, asking Matt, “What kind of lawyer are you?” with Matt responding, “A really good one,” a nod to Spider-Man: No Way Home. Yusuf’s role remains unclear, but it seems likely that Matt might represent him in a court case. Although Ms. Marvel may not appear, Yusuf is expected to mention Kamala due to their familial connection.
The Young Avengers initiative, which began with The Marvels in an effort to assemble the next generation of heroes, has been rumored to be in development for some time, though no official projects have been announced since.
The connection in Daredevil: Born Again may be subtle, but it’s intended to keep the Young Avengers on the radar.
