Marvel has a lot of projects lined up for the next few years, with a clear focus on expanding its animated content. The MCU’s animation journey started with What If…? Season 1, and while the show is wrapping up its final season, this is just the beginning of Marvel’s animated offerings.

The success of X-Men ’97 has encouraged Marvel to invest more in animation, leading to new animated series. In 2025, fans can look forward to Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Eyes of Wakanda, and Marvel Zombies. Plus, X-Men ’97 will return with Seasons 2 and 3 in development.

Now, insider Daniel Richtman reports that Marvel is working on three more animated projects set in the MCU.

This isn’t surprising, as Brad Winderbaum hinted yesterday that Marvel Studios may be working on a theatrical animated movie. We’ve also heard rumors about an animated X-Men ’97 movie being considered for theaters.

There’s also the anime-inspired show about cosmic beings that was mentioned almost a year ago, but we haven’t heard any updates on it and are starting to wonder if it’s still in the works.

Earlier this year, we reported that Marvel might revive older animated series after the success of X-Men ’97, but those are still just rumors.

It looks like the future of the MCU may be in animation—let’s just hope they focus on quality over quantity. Have something to add? Let us know in the comments below!
