The Netflix hit isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Jenna, who has become one of the most recognizable faces since the show’s debut, is returning not just as the lead, but also as a producer. She said things feel different this time around, in a good way. “Netflix has a lot more trust this time. We were able to do things on a grander scale and take more time with scenes,” Jenna told Tudum, Netflix’s official news source.

The second season is already wrapped and set to premiere on August 6. New faces are joining the fun too, Steve Buscemi and Billie Piper are confirmed to be part of the cast, adding even more buzz to the upcoming release.

And while fans are getting ready for Season 2, there’s more to look forward to. Season 3 is in the works, and to mark the occasion, the first official poster has been revealed. The new artwork gives a fresh look at the darker tone the show is leaning into, while still keeping that gothic style everyone loved the first time around. “Bad things come in threes” the caption says.

As for how long the show will run, that’s still up in the air. Creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar have said there’s room to follow Wednesday’s school years for up to seven seasons. But Jenna isn’t sure yet. She’s interested in directing and trying out new things, and that might mean stepping away at some point. Tim Burton joked about the uncertainty by saying, “You’re talking to two of the worst people to ask that question.”

There’s also talk of a spin-off. While no one’s giving anything away, both Jenna and Tim confirmed they’re thinking about it. The goal is to explore more of the Addams Family world—not just Wednesday’s corner of it.

The first season brought in more than 250 million views, according to Netflix. That kind of popularity makes it clear why the streamer is eager to grow the franchise. Between a new season, a fresh poster, and early plans for spin-offs, it looks like Wednesday is here to stay, and maybe expand.

Season 2 drops soon, and Season 3 is already on the horizon. For fans of creepy, kooky adventures, things are just getting started.
