‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 2 has finished filming, and fans have already gotten a peek at what’s coming thanks to leaks from the set. One of the biggest teasers was Daredevil’s black suit with the red D&D logo. At Galaxy Con, Charlie Cox, who plays Matt Murdock/Daredevil, talked about what makes this season’s suits special.

“I know there have been some leaked set photos so the one that we’ve just finished with in season 2 of Born Again I think is my favorite for a couple of reasons. One, because it is badass, but also because every suit that we’ve had in some way is represented in the comics. We’ve had a couple of red ones, two I think three red ones, we’ve had the She-Hulk golden, you know yellow and red, but there’s a particular, there’s something I can’t say without giving away too much, but there’s something that we do in this final season that doesn’t exist in the comics so it is unique to the show,” Cox said.

Season 2 will follow Matt Murdock as he teams up with allies to fight Wilson Fisk, the mayor of New York City, and his Anti-Vigilante Task Force.

The show is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and connects with other Marvel films and series. Disney+ has set the season to premiere in March 2026 with eight episodes.

Cox returns as Daredevil, and Vincent D’Onofrio is back as Wilson Fisk. Other familiar faces include Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, and Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, the Punisher. Returning as well are Margarita Levieva as Heather Glenn, Fisk’s Mental Health Commissioner and Matt’s ex, and Wilson Bethel as Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter, a dangerous assassin with new sides to his personality this season. Krysten Ritter joins the cast as Jessica Jones, teaming up with Daredevil despite their very different crime-fighting styles.

Fans are especially curious about the unique suit Cox mentioned. Previous leaks showed Daredevil in a black costume, a design that has appeared in comics before.

He did have not one but three black suits in the comics. His first makeshift suit was black of course, but that can be hardly called a superhero costume. In the ‘Shadowland’ crossover (2010), after taking control of the Hand, Daredevil became corrupted by the cult’s patron demon, the Beast.

Under the Beast’s influence, Daredevil led the Hand in more extreme crime-fighting, turning Hell’s Kitchen into a mystical prison and adopting an all-black costume with a red logo and eyes.

After the Beast was purged from his soul, Daredevil abandoned the dark costume and returned to his original attire following a journey of self-discovery.

The third black suit was actually a mix of the Shadowland suit and his traditional suit keeping the main Shadowland theme going but adopting red boots, gloves, escrima sticks, and a logo. For years, Daredevil’s black suit was his standard look until he returned to his classic red costume in 2018.
