Fresh Rumors Spark Speculation About Zoë Kravitz’s Return in ‘The Batman: Part II’
Rumors are making the rounds about whether Zoë Kravitz will return as Catwoman in The Batman: Part II. While Warner Bros. has kept quiet, recent reports have suggested she might not be back, leaving fans unsure about where the story will go next.
The latest talk came from film reporter Jeff Sneider on The Hot Mic show. According to Sneider, during a press event for another movie, reporters were told not to ask Kravitz about The Batman sequel. “The representatives for Zoë Kravitz… instructed the press, don’t ask Zoe any questions about The Batman Part 2. She’s not in it and she doesn’t know anything,” he explained. Sneider added that this came directly from what journalists were told at the junket.
This has fueled speculation that Selina Kyle, one of the major characters in the first film, won’t be appearing in the second. Commentator John Rocha also weighed in, saying, “So Catwoman is not in The Batman Part 2 even though she was a big [part of the first film].”
Sneider did caution fans not to jump too quickly to conclusions. He reminded people that only a handful of individuals actually know the full script. “Listen, only six people on the planet have read the script… don’t worry about what everybody else thinks,” he said. He clarified he was only passing along what other journalists had been told.
Still, the comments have sparked debate among fans. Kravitz’s Catwoman was one of the highlights of the first movie, with many praising her chemistry with Robert Pattinson’s Batman. If she really doesn’t appear in the follow-up, the dynamic of the sequel could look very different.
Despite these rumors, Warner Bros. has confirmed that The Batman: Part II is moving forward. The film is set to hit theaters on October 1, 2027. Matt Reeves is returning as director and co-writer, working again with Mattson Tomlin. Robert Pattinson will reprise his role as the Dark Knight, alongside Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.
The story will continue to explore Gotham City after the flood that ended the first movie and the events of Farrell’s spin-off series The Penguin. According to reports, Batman will face another dark case that digs deeper into the corruption tearing the city apart.
Production has faced delays since its announcement in 2022, partly due to the Hollywood strikes in 2023 and Reeves taking extra time to polish the script. Filming is expected to begin in January 2026 at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in England.
For now, fans are left waiting to see if Catwoman’s story continues or if Batman will face Gotham’s dangers without her. Until Warner Bros. confirms, Kravitz’s future in the series remains a mystery.
