Epic Games is officially bringing Dunder Mifflin to the world of Fortnite with a new collaboration inspired by The Office. Following weeks of speculation, the game developer confirmed the news with a teaser featuring beets and the caption Build. Beets. Battle Royale, a clear nod to the iconic show.

The collaboration focuses on two of the show’s most famous characters: Regional Manager Michael Scott and his loyal, if eccentric, assistant Dwight Schrute. Both skins come with unique “edit styles” that reference specific moments from the series. Michael Scott includes a “Date Mike” variant, while Dwight features a “jacket off” style and a much darker option that references the time he cut the face off a CPR dummy.

The accessory list is just as extensive and filled with inside jokes for fans. The “World’s Best Boss” mug and the faceless CPR dummy appear as back bling items. For harvesting tools, players can choose between a Dundie Award trophy or a broom-stake. The “Megadesk” makes an appearance as a glider, while new emotes include Dwight’s small red car and “The Scarn” dance.

While fan-favorites Jim Halpert and Pam Beesly are notably missing from this initial launch, industry analysts suggest they could arrive in a future update if these skins perform well. The crossover represents a significant shift for Fortnite, moving away from high-octane action stars toward “normal” sitcom characters.

This move has led to theories that other classic comedies like 30 Rock, Parks and Recreation, or Arrested Development could be next. For now, the focus remains on Scranton’s finest. The items are scheduled to hit the Fortnite Item Shop on January 23, at 7 PM ET.

Aside from this sitcom crossover, Fortnite’s Chapter 7 has been exceptionally busy. The game recently hosted a South Park collaboration and is rumored to be preparing for crossovers with Regular Show and Looney Tunes later this year. Epic Games also recently introduced a new “Fall Guys Crown Jam” mode, continuing their trend of integrating various play styles and brands into a single digital “metaverse.”

Michael Scott and Dwight Schrute might look a bit out of place holding assault rifles, but the game’s embrace of meme culture makes them a surprisingly perfect fit for the current roster. As Fortnite continues to reach into TV history for new content, it seems no franchise is truly off-limits for the Battle Bus.
