Kelly Osbourne Calls Out Cruel Body Shaming After Brit Awards Amid Personal Struggles
Kelly Osbourne is hitting back at online critics following a wave of negative comments about her physical appearance. Just hours after she attended the BRIT Awards to honor her late father, Ozzy Osbourne, the television personality took to social media to address the “cruel” messages she received.
She made it clear that the constant scrutiny regarding her weight loss has reached a breaking point during what she describes as the most difficult period of her life. There is a special kind of cruelty in harming someone who is clearly going through something, she wrote in an emotional Instagram Stories post on Sunday.
She criticized those who were kicking me while I’m down and spreading gossip about her personal struggles instead of offering support. Osbourne expressed that such behavior reveals a profound absence of compassion and character in those making the remarks.
The star concluded her statement by emphasizing that she should not have to defend herself while grieving. I’m currently going through the hardest time in my life, she noted, adding that she will no longer stay silent while being dehumanized by strangers online.
This latest response follows months of emotional turmoil for the family after the legendary Black Sabbath frontman passed away at 76 in July 2025. On Saturday night, Kelly stood alongside her mother, Sharon Osbourne, at the BRIT Awards in Manchester to accept a posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award for Ozzy.
During the ceremony, Sharon gave a heartfelt speech about her husband’s legacy, saying he would have been incredibly proud to be recognized by his home country. Kelly also shared a brief, tearful message, thanking the fans for loving my father as much as we do.

The event featured a star-studded musical tribute led by Robbie Williams, who performed the hit “No More Tears” with members of Ozzy’s original band. Despite the celebratory nature of the night, Kelly was immediately met with vitriol on social media, with some users even making horrific comparisons between her slim figure and a dead body.
She previously clapped back at these “disgusting” trolls in December, telling them to f— off and explaining that her focus is entirely on her family right now. Aside from navigating her grief, the 41-year-old has been keeping busy with several media projects.
She continues to co-host the popular The Osbournes Podcast with her mother and brother, Jack, which has seen a massive surge in listeners as they share memories of Ozzy. Kelly is also reportedly in talks to return to reality television with a new series focused on her journey as a mother to her son, Sidney, whom she shares with Slipknot’s Sid Wilson.
Additionally, Kelly has been working on a new fashion-focused digital series, and she recently hosted Lego Masters Jr. She also remains active as an advocate for animal rights and frequently uses her platform to support various rescue organizations.
