Rumored ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ LEGO Set May Have Just Spoiled a Female Doctor Doom Variant

The merchandise machine surrounding ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ has been running at full speed for months, and LEGO leaks have consistently been among the most revealing sources of character detail ahead of the film’s release. Marvel has kept Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom almost completely hidden across four trailers, leaving toy databases and brick leaks to do the heavy lifting in his absence. For a fandom this hungry for any glimpse of the MCU’s newest villain, every rumored set listing has become its own kind of event.

A fresh wave of leaks has surfaced online, pointing to a packed slate of LEGO Marvel sets allegedly arriving in January 2027. According to a report from Brick Fanatics, citing leaker BrickTap via maxbautde and a.clay.brick, the rumored lineup includes eight different sets. The breadth of the alleged wave speaks to just how large a footprint ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is expected to leave on the toy aisle.

The set drawing the most attention from the fandom is the one reported by @AvengersUpdated on X, which claims that a Doctor Doom vs Thor LEGO mech set tied to ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is releasing in 2027, and will feature a female Doctor Doom as one of the mechs. The set is labeled 67003 Thor vs Doctor Doom Mechs, and this 237-piece set is expected to feature minifigures of Thor and Doctor Doom alongside their own mechs. The addition of a female Doom variant, if accurate, would be among the most significant character hints to emerge from the merchandise wave so far.

The film is directed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo and written by Stephen McFeely, assembling one of the largest casts in MCU history by uniting the Avengers, Fantastic Four, X-Men, and more against an existential threat across universes. A female Doctor Doom appearing in that kind of multiverse-spanning story would not be out of place narratively, and fans have already begun connecting the dots between this leak and the film’s confirmed multiverse premise.

What makes Doom’s rollout particularly unusual is how deliberately Marvel Studios has held the character back. Despite four short trailers landing for the film, Doctor Doom had not appeared in any official footage as of mid-2026. His first on-screen appearance came in the post-credits scene of ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps,’ where he sat in the shadows of the Baxter Building. Against that backdrop of deliberate secrecy, a LEGO mech set potentially spoiling a Doom variant feels like a significant crack in the wall.

As always with leaks of this nature, none of these sets have been officially confirmed by LEGO or Marvel, and set names, piece counts, and character lineups can change before any formal announcement. Still, LEGO has a well-earned reputation for accidentally revealing more than studios intend, and a rumored mech set hinting at a female Doctor Doom is exactly the kind of detail that tends to prove prescient once a film releases.

‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is now set to arrive in theaters on December 18, 2026, with ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ positioned for December 17, 2027, and both films directed by the Russo brothers making their MCU return. With the film still months away, this rumored mech set may only be the beginning of the character details that slip through the toy aisle before Marvel is ready to reveal them. If a female Doctor Doom variant really is in the film, who do you think she could be, and does the idea excite or concern you for where the MCU’s multiverse saga is headed?
