‘Terminator 2’ Cast Reunites Again at Big Texas Comicon, and Robert Patrick Can’t Resist a T-1000 Joke
It has been 35 years since ‘Terminator 2: Judgment Day’ hit theaters, and its stars clearly still enjoy each other’s company. James Cameron’s 1991 sequel remains one of the most celebrated action films ever made, and fans have been treated to a series of reunions marking the milestone anniversary.
Back in August, Robert Patrick shared a photo from the For the Love of Fantasy & Sci-Fi convention in London showing him with Linda Hamilton, Edward Furlong and Michael Biehn. The image delighted fans, especially since it marked a rare reunion for Furlong, who played young John Connor.
Now, the ‘Terminator 2’ crew has reunited once again, this time at Big Texas Comicon. The convention ran from October 9 to 11 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, with Hamilton, Furlong, Patrick, and Biehn all among the featured guests.
Patrick shared a new group photo from the event on social media, with the cast smiling in front of the convention’s bright blue and yellow backdrop. In his caption, he joked that it was great to see the gang again and that, this time, nobody ran away when he walked into the room, calling it progress.

The playful line is a nod to his most famous role. Patrick played the T-1000, the shapeshifting liquid metal Terminator sent back in time by Skynet to kill young John Connor, a performance that became his breakout role.
Hamilton made a Saturday-only appearance at the convention, where she was joined by her fellow franchise stars. The group also took part in a dedicated Terminator panel at 3 p.m. that day.
Hamilton is best known as Sarah Connor, the fierce heroine she first played in the original ‘The Terminator’ before returning for ‘Terminator 2’. She later brought her commanding presence to ‘Stranger Things’.

Biehn starred in the original film, while Furlong and Patrick joined the franchise for the 1991 sequel. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who played the T-800, was not part of the Texas lineup. The reunions have struck a chord with fans who grew up on the franchise. When the August photo surfaced, many commenters celebrated seeing the actors together again after so many years.
At the time of that reunion, Furlong was 49, Biehn was 70, Hamilton was 69, and Patrick was 67. In his August post, Patrick described the group as the T2 family, back together once more.
The latest photo shows the cast in relaxed, casual looks. Hamilton wore a brown polka-dot blouse with matching trousers, while Patrick sported his signature dark glasses and a denim jacket.
Big Texas Comicon brought plenty of other big names to San Antonio this year. The guest list included Bryce Dallas Howard, Ron Perlman, Theo Rossi, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Troy Baker.
Cheech and Chong also appeared on Saturday, while ‘Charmed’ stars Holly Marie Combs and Brian Krause took part in a panel about their time on the series. Still, for many attendees, the Terminator reunion was the main event.
Patrick’s performance as the T-1000, along with the groundbreaking visual effects used to bring it to life, earned widespread praise from critics. Decades later, the character remains one of the most iconic villains in sci-fi history.
With the cast continuing to make convention appearances together, fans may not have to wait long for the next reunion. For now, Patrick’s self-aware humor shows the T-1000 has come a long way since terrorizing the Connors.
