‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Star Sadie Sink Turns a New York Street Into Her Personal Runway in Striking New Photoshoot
Sadie Sink has had a career-defining year. The 24-year-old actress, best known for ‘Stranger Things’, made her Marvel debut this summer in ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’, a role kept under wraps for more than a year before the film’s July 31 release.
After months of fan theories, audiences finally discovered she was playing Jean Grey. The film went on to smash box office records, and Sink has since confirmed she will return as the iconic mutant in Jake Schreier’s upcoming ‘X-Men’ reboot.
Now, Sink is making headlines for a very different reason. New photos from a photoshoot on the streets of New York have been making the rounds online, and they’re turning plenty of heads.
In the images, the actress stands confidently on top of a vintage dark blue sedan parked on a cobblestone street lined with classic cast-iron buildings. She strikes dramatic poses with her arms outstretched as traffic and passersby carry on around her.

Sink wears an all-black look featuring a cropped top with fringed, feather-like sleeves and a long, flowing maxi skirt. Black heels complete the outfit, while her long auburn hair falls in loose, tousled waves.
The photos quickly gained traction online, racking up a huge number of views after being shared. Many fans praised the cinematic feel of the shoot, which blends high-fashion styling with the gritty energy of the city.
The setting feels especially fitting for Sink. Her family relocated to New York City in 2012 to support her and her brother’s stage careers, and she went on to work on Broadway before landing her breakout role.
The new shoot is just the latest in a string of high-profile style appearances. Sink attended the Calvin Klein show during New York Fashion Week and was also spotted at Prada’s runway show during Milan Fashion Week.
She also walked the red carpet at the 2026 EE BAFTA Film Awards in February. In July, she joined the cast for a photo call in New York ahead of the release of ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’.
Her Jean Grey debut has made her one of the MCU’s most important new faces. In ‘Brand New Day’, Jean is portrayed as a lonely teenager struggling to control her powers, serving as an antagonist for much of the story before ultimately helping Spider-Man.
Sink reportedly landed the role without auditioning, having previously worked with director Destin Daniel Cretton on ‘The Glass Castle’. Speaking to Variety, she explained that Marvel’s Kevin Feige and Louis D’Esposito called her in for a meeting to pitch the character.
The ‘X-Men’ reboot is set for May 2028. Sink will be joined by Kit Connor as Scott Summers, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Christopher Abbott as Professor X, Maya Boyd as Storm, Adam Driver as Mister Sinister, and Inde Navarrette as Rogue.
Beyond Marvel, Sink has built an impressive résumé. She appeared in the ‘Fear Street’ trilogy and starred in Darren Aronofsky’s 2022 drama ‘The Whale’. With a growing film career and an eye for bold fashion, she’s quickly becoming one of Hollywood’s most exciting young stars. This New York shoot proves she’s just as comfortable in front of a fashion camera as she is in front of a film crew.
