‘American Horror Story’ Season 13 Episode 13 Finale Release Date, Time, Where to Watch and Preview

Share:

The season finale of ‘American Horror Story’ lands on Thursday, October 29, with the final episode titled “Devil of a Good Time” and scheduled to air on its own that night. It closes out a crossover season that has been reuniting fan favorites and revisiting some of the franchise’s most recognizable settings.

The season blends elements from earlier chapters such as Murder House, Coven, Asylum, Hotel and Cult as they converge against a new supernatural threat. Anyone planning to watch the end of this chapter of ‘American Horror Story’ as it airs will want the schedule, the streaming options and a sense of where the story stands.

Finale Release Date and Episode Details

The season opened on September 24 with three episodes, and the first two weeks were set to carry three episodes each before the rollout shifted to two at a time. That uneven pace has made the calendar harder to follow than a typical weekly release.

The two episodes before the finale arrived on October 22, leaving the closing chapter to air by itself on October 29. For viewers who have fallen behind, that gives a clear window to catch up before the final hour.

The finale was written by Ned Martel, Charlie Carver and Brad Falchuk, and it was directed by Crystle Roberson Dorsey. The season is made up of shorter installments, which suits its fast release schedule.

What Time the Finale Airs

New episodes air every Thursday at 9 p.m. ET and 6 p.m. PT on FX. The finale is expected to follow that same slot on October 29.

Viewers without a cable package can stream FX live through DirecTV, Fubo, Sling and Hulu + Live TV. That makes the live broadcast accessible without a traditional subscription.

Episodes arrive the next day on Hulu and on Hulu through Disney+ for bundle subscribers. In the United Kingdom, the finale is listed for Disney+ on October 30.

Where to Watch the Finale Online

Watching on demand requires Hulu access through an eligible standalone plan or a Disney+ and Hulu bundle. The season also streams internationally on Disney+.

Hulu’s standalone ad supported tier runs $12.49 a month, the ad free tier is $21.49, and a Hulu and Disney+ bundle starts at $12.99 a month. Prices can change, so it is worth confirming before signing up.

Every earlier season of the anthology is also available on Hulu. That is useful for anyone who wants to revisit the chapters this season keeps calling back to.

Preview of the Finale and What Comes Next

The official synopsis says Cordelia’s witches try to come together as their chances of saving the world grow dim. The description suggests the coven will be at the center of the closing hour.

Earlier in the season, Fiona admitted that the only way to defeat the Devil is to befriend the Devil’s friend. Mallory also admitted to using time travel to kill Michael Langdon, and Fiona revealed that Mallory is destined to become the next Supreme.

The ensemble includes franchise regulars Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters and Angela Bassett. Ryan Murphy has described the crossover as a gathering of heroes to defeat the ultimate evil, saying it is “like the Avengers”.

Murphy has also said this season is not the end and that he is already working out the idea and cast for another one. With the coven’s fate and Mallory’s future as the next Supreme both hanging over the finale, do you think “Devil of a Good Time” will settle the witches’ story for good or leave the door open for whoever returns next?
