Galadriel and Celeborn Share a Moonlit Sparring Moment in a New ‘Rings of Power’ Clip
Fans of ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’ have waited a long time to meet Galadriel’s husband. Celeborn has been mentioned since the first season, but the elven lord has never actually appeared on screen until now.
The new season finally brings him into the story, with Jamie Campbell Bower in the role. Known to many viewers as Vecna in ‘Stranger Things’, Bower joins Morfydd Clark’s Galadriel as the Prime Video series heads into its darkest chapter yet.
A new clip is giving fans their first real look at the couple together. The 41-second scene arrived alongside Bower’s appearance on Wednesday’s episode of ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’, where he also showed off his prosthetics.
The clip is set in a dark, moonlit forest and centers on a playful exchange. One character asks, “Is that why you dance alone?” and the other replies, “I wasn’t dancing, I was sparring.”
The moment reads as Celeborn teasing his wife and Galadriel correcting him with her familiar pride and dry wit. It’s a small but charming glimpse of the warmth between them after their long separation.

Longtime viewers will recognize what the line is referencing. In the first season, Galadriel told young Theo how she met Celeborn while she was dancing in a glade of flowers, at a time when the war still felt far away.
In that same story, she fondly teased her husband about his ill-fitting armor, joking that he looked like a “silver clam.” The new exchange turns that memory into a private joke between the 2 elves, suggesting their bond and playful side are still intact. For a series known for its epic battles, the scene offers a rare quiet moment of romance and history.

The clip also fits with the season’s trailer, which shows Celeborn sparring with Galadriel by moonlight and telling her he can sense she’s afraid to share something. Many fans believe that secret involves Sauron.
The showrunners have said Celeborn will recognize how deeply Galadriel has been hurt, and they’ve teased a romantic flashback showing how the pair first met. Bower has also hinted that Celeborn carries something inside him that could be used against him.
Clark, meanwhile, has made it clear that the season isn’t building a true love triangle. As she put it, Sauron may think he’s in one, but he isn’t. The new season picks up 5 years after the fall of Eregion, with Sauron working to forge the One Ring. Showrunner J.D. Payne has described it as darker and more dangerous than before, warning that no one is safe.

Bower drew inspiration from J.R.R. Tolkien’s love for his wife, Edith, to capture Celeborn’s longing during the couple’s years apart. That emotional backstory could make their reunion one of the season’s most affecting storylines.

‘The Rings of Power’ returns on Wednesday, November 11, with 4 episodes. Episodes 5 and 6 follow on November 18, and the final 2 episodes arrive on November 25. With Celeborn finally on screen and Sauron at his most dangerous, the new season could reshape Galadriel’s story in a big way. If this clip is any sign, the couple’s reunion will mix tenderness with the tension that has defined Galadriel’s journey so far.
