Halloween in Los Angeles has no shortage of scares, but one streaming service has found an unusual way to join the season. Tubi, the free streaming platform with more than 375,000 movies and TV shows, is taking its horror brand off the screen and onto the streets of the city.

The company has spent the year building up its horror credentials. Its Terror on Tubi Hub, launched in August, offers more than 13,000 hours of scary movies year-round, with collections covering slashers, supernatural hauntings, creature features, and psychological thrillers.

Now Tubi is inviting fans to step inside its horror world, literally. The service is giving people free rides in a hearse this Halloween weekend at the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride in Griffith Park.

Called the Terror on Tubi Haunted Hearse, the experience carries guests from the event’s parking lot to its main gates. Rides run from Thursday, October 29, through Saturday, October 31, each night from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Inside, the hearse has been transformed into an interactive attraction. Riders can expect eerie imagery, sinister lighting, and a few unsettling physical surprises along the way. Tubi has designed the experience with social media in mind. Guests can capture their reactions with custom video and photo options, turning their frightened faces into shareable clips.

Riders also leave with exclusive promotional giveaway items. It’s a clever way to blend a live scare with online buzz, encouraging fans to spread the word about the platform’s horror library. The ride is free, making it an easy add-on for anyone already headed to the Haunted Hayride for Halloween weekend.

The hearse delivers riders to one of the city’s biggest Halloween events. The Los Angeles Haunted Hayride takes place in Griffith Park, where visitors enter Midnight Falls, a haunted town cursed to relive Halloween night 1985 over and over.

This year’s lineup includes the new maze ‘Fallen Angel’, an ’80s Sunset Strip rock experience where guests become a cursed band. Returning attractions include ‘Elvira’s Trick or Treat Mayhem’, featuring Cassandra Peterson as Elvira, and ‘Hellbilly Halloween’, where a cannibal family hosts a gruesome dinner.

The hayride trail itself received its biggest upgrade in years, and alcohol is being served inside Midnight Falls for the first time. Tickets start at $34.99 for the hayride alone and $49.99 for the hayride plus haunted houses, with the event running select nights through November 1.

The hearse stunt is part of a larger push for Tubi’s horror programming. The platform reaches more than 100 million monthly active users, and its horror section rotates fresh themed categories every month.

This fall, Tubi is also offering exclusive Tubi Originals such as ‘Buzzkill’ and ‘R.L. Stine’s Pumpkinhead 2’. Creator-driven series from Spooky Boo, Carter Kench, Kelsi Davies, and The Try Guys are also on the way.

Interactive marketing has become a popular way for studios and streamers to connect with fans, and horror lends itself especially well to it. A short, spooky ride in a hearse creates exactly the kind of memorable moment people want to film and share. For Tubi, it’s a chance to show that its horror hub is more than a menu of titles. For fans, it’s a free way to add one more scare to their Halloween night.
