The sixth season of ‘JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure’ adapts the seventh part of the manga, ‘Steel Ball Run’, and it is produced by David Production. After a bumpy rollout, the series has settled into a weekly rhythm on Netflix, and fans are now asking when the next installment arrives.

Anyone waiting on the ninth episode can mark Friday, November 13, on the calendar, with the schedule counting the long opening installment as the first episode. The ‘JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure’ release is exclusive to Netflix. Here is what is known about timing, availability and what comes next.

Release Date and Weekly Schedule

The complete schedule places the ninth episode on November 13, 2026, with every new installment arriving on a Friday. That follows episode eight, which is due this Friday. Netflix confirmed that the second and third stages would add 11 new episodes, starting September 25 and running weekly until December 4.

Together with the opening installment, that makes a complete run of 12 episodes. The first episode premiered on March 19 as a special installment that ran 47 minutes. When nothing followed for weeks, fans grew frustrated, and one outlet pointed out that Netflix never framed that premiere as a sneak peek.

Netflix answered the backlash in April. The streamer confirmed a split cour plan, with one new episode of the second stage arriving each week starting in the fall. Assuming no delays, the final episode of the cour should air on December 4.

Episode labels can differ between sources. One calendar aggregator lists a ninth episode on November 20, because it numbers the weekly batch from the start of the second stage. The date is the safer reference than the label.

Release Time Across Regions

In Japan, new episodes go live at 5 p.m. Japan Standard Time. That anchor point is the easiest way to work out when a release reaches other regions.

For viewers in North America, several outlets list a drop time of 1 a.m. Pacific and 4 a.m. Eastern. Those figures were published earlier in the run.

More recent coverage of episode eight points to midnight Pacific and 3 a.m. Eastern. The difference between reports suggests viewers should confirm the local time on Netflix, since the Japan release hour is the common thread.

Where to Watch on Netflix

The series is available exclusively on Netflix. Netflix announced worldwide streaming in September 2025, in commemoration of the tenth anniversary of its service launch in Japan.

The weekly format is a notable change from the previous season. ‘Stone Ocean’ arrived in three batches on Netflix, with twelve episodes in December 2021, twelve more in September 2022 and fourteen that December. One outlet described the current schedule as a long awaited return to weekly episodes for the franchise.

Language options are broad. Netflix revealed the English voice cast in February, when it uploaded dubbed versions of the teaser and first trailer in more than a dozen languages. Johnny Joestar is voiced by Shogo Sakata in Japanese and Daman Mills in English, while Gyro Zeppeli is voiced by Yohei Azakami and Kaiji Tang. The Arabic dub did not continue once the second stage began releasing.

Episode Preview and What Comes Next

Netflix has not published an official synopsis for episode eight. For the ninth episode, schedule listings show the title as to be announced. Fan wikis list conflicting titles, so none of them can be treated as confirmed.

What the preceding episodes did can still shape expectations. Episode seven ended just short of the final 20 pages of its manga chapter, which leads one outlet to expect the fight Johnny is facing to wrap up soon. That would clear space for whatever follows in the ninth episode.

The story’s stakes were also sharpened off screen. The same episode opened with a scene of Joseph of Arimathea burying a body, then moved to the race’s train, where Steven Steel learns that President Funny Valentine is behind the event and is searching for a corpse. Steven opposes the killing, but the president dismisses his protests.

With only a few weekly releases left before the finale, the series is moving into its most consequential stretch. After a rocky rollout and a long wait for the second stage, does the Friday schedule now feel worth it to you, and which moment of Johnny’s fight are you hoping David Production handles best in the ninth episode?
