Keep in mind that there will be spoilers throughout the rest of the article.
Are ‘The Wedding March’ movies connected? What’s the best order to watch them?
All ‘The Wedding March’ movies are connected. Their main connection, naturally, is through the two lead characters, Mick Turner and Olivia Phillips-Pershing, portrayed by Jack Wagner and Josie Bissett, respectively.
Mick and Olivia run the Willow Lake Inn together, so even when the plot doesn’t focus on them in some of these movies, they are still integral characters to the story, which almost always happens at their Inn.
Seeing that the plots evolve chronologically throughout the series with not many twists, flashbacks, or prequels, the best way to watch ‘The Wedding March’ series is simply watching the series as it was released from the first to the last film.
‘The Wedding March’ movies in chronological order
As mentioned previously, ‘The Wedding March’ movies are also chronologically ordered in terms of plot if you watch them by release date. In other words, you should follow the series in the same order as the movies were coming out. Keep reading if you want to hear a bit more detail about each movie and how they connect to one another.
1. ‘The Wedding March’ (June 25, 2016)
The first film came out in 2016 and was a major success, having high viewership numbers that kind of sprouted into a full movie series. In the first movie, we meet Olivia and Mick, who were previously college sweethearts. Olivia now runs a successful business, and Mick runs the Willow Lake Inn.
Little did Olivia know that when she booked the Inn for her wedding. Even less did she know that Mick would be the singer at the wedding due to the band canceling at the last minute. As Olivia and Mick meet again, their feelings rekindle, and both of their daughters support them in getting back together. Mick pulls the trigger and shares his feelings at the rehearsal dinner…
2. ‘Wedding March 2: Resorting to Love’ (June 17, 2017)
Olivia hands over her business to her daughter Grace and arrives at the Willow Lake Inn to live with Mick. She decides to take time and take things slow, so she sleeps at the Carriage House instead of Mick’s. Their first gig together at the Inn is a wedding, which keeps getting bigger than they anticipated, so tension rises. It all comes together when they help the groom get over having cold feet.
3. ‘Wedding March 3: Here Comes the Bride’ (February 17, 2018)
Mick and Olivia are already a well-oiled machine, keeping busy and running the Inn. They want a Valentine’s weekend break, but their plans fall through when their entire family comes to visit them that very weekend at the Inn. Olivia is pressured to be in a more committed relationship with Mick, while Julie decides to leave school to become a chef, making Mick incredibly tense and worried.
4. ‘Wedding March 4: Something Old, Something New’ (June 23, 2018)
Another wedding is brewing at the Willow Lake Inn! Abby and Rob are ready to tie the knot, but Abby starts having second thoughts about the whole ordeal, fearful that she simply doesn’t fit in with Rob’s family. Mick and Olivia help organize the wedding they want – not what their family expects…
5. ‘Wedding March 5: My Boyfriend’s Back’ (June 8, 2019)
The Willow Lake Inn will be the first venue where Annalise’s wedding-planning company will hold their first wedding – so everything has to go perfectly. However, things get a lot more complicated when Annalise realizes that Brad – her ex-boyfriend – is the best man at the wedding, so she tries to keep things professional and forget about their past.
Meanwhile, Olivia and Mick are planning surprises for each other due to a big milestone in their relationship…
6. ‘Sealed with a Kiss: Wedding March 6’ (August 14, 2021)
An interesting couple – a celebrity and his simple, down-to-earth fiancee – plan a humble, small wedding at the Willow Lake Inn. Meanwhile, Olivia and Mick are finally planning their own wedding, but Mick gets an incredible offer that Olivia doesn’t want to let him refuse, knowing it’s an opportunity of a lifetime. Still, it jeopardizes their big day… what will they do? Will they finally tie the knot?
Where to watch ‘The Wedding March’ movies?
‘The Wedding March’ movies are a Hallmark original, so they are frequently aired on their channels. You can also stream the movies on Hoopla, DIRECTV, and Hallmark Movies Now Amazon Channel. If you don’t have any of the before-mentioned streaming platforms, you can always buy/rent the movies on Amazon Prime Video, Google Play, YouTube, Apple TV, or Vudu.
Will there be more ‘The Wedding March’ movies?
Unfortunately for fans, ‘The Wedding March’ series appears to have ended with the sixth movie. Olivia and Mick finally tied the knot, and it seems Hallmark plans no more movies. At least, none have been announced or even talked about. Never say never, though, as we could still be surprised. After all, it has been only two years since the last film aired…
