Beau DeMayo Allegedly Sent Nude Photos to Young Staffers Among Many Other Serious Accusations Insiders Reveal

‘X-Men ’97’ is Marvel’s latest animated hit, the show has scored consistently high ratings and was renewed for seasons 2 and 3 even before the first season finished its run. Behind closed doors, however, a true drama was playing out.

Beau DeMayo the creator and head writer of the show was fired just weeks before the show’s premiere and no reason has been given as to why. Neither the studio nor the writer commented on it.

Everything changed a couple of days ago due to DeMayo targeting several social media posts to his former employer. First, he called out Disney for not inviting him to the Emmy Awards, and then he called out the company while sharing an article related to the ghoulish wrongful death suit through which Disney is currently going. The final straw was when the writer accused the company of pulling his season 2 writing credits due to him sharing a sexually suggestive drawing of Cyborg.

Marvel spokesperson commented that Beau DeMayo was fired after a lengthy internal investigation that has yielded egregious results but wouldn’t comment on the matters further, just that the accusations and the results of the investigation were serious.

Now Jeff Sneider, via his InSneider newsletter shares what really happened. Well, according to his sources, rumors and allegations so keep that in mind while reading the rest of the article, it’s not been proven or confirmed.

Allegedly, DeMayo sent nude photos of himself in sexually suggestive poses to several young male staffers working on ‘X-Men ’97,’ claiming they could be used as “inspiration.”

He allegedly groped an assistant multiple times and was emotionally and physically abusive to other staff members. The first part is a new one, but people already assumed that firing DeMayo had something to do with sexual assault allegations. The second part however is just a repetition of rumors that we’ve heard back in March, that DeMayo was fired because he is generally difficult to work with.

Sexual assaults in the workplace are a serious matter and this is perhaps the only way to explain why DeMayo was eliminated so quickly and drastically, despite creating a masterpiece.
