Bleach: What is Grimaniel, Robert Accutrone's Released Form? How Strong Is It?

Robert Accutrone from Bleach is an interesting Sternritter, and while he seemingly had a lot of potential, he was, in the end, significantly underused as a character. Robert Accutrone was introduced as a powerful fighter, someone who could take on even Shunsi Kyoraku, but sadly, Kubo never really expanded on that, and Accutrone remains as simply an interesting figure in the story and nothing more; but, there is still a lot to tell here. In this article, we will focus on Robert Accutrone’s Quincy: Vollständig, Grimaniel, as you will find out everything about it.

Robert Accutrone’s Quincy: Vollständig is called Grimaniel, and, like all Quincy: Vollständig, it significantly increases his basic powers. Unlike some other Sternritter, in his Quincy: Vollständig form, Robert Accutrone doesn’t change his appearance at all – he simply gets a pair of wings and a Heiligschein above his head; his Reiatsu turns green in the series. His basic power, the “N,” has not been named, but we know that he was an expert marksman who used handguns in a fight. In his Quincy: Vollständig form, he becomes much faster than he was, his reflexes and agility become better, and his firepower is more destructive. Sadly, no other details have been revealed.

The rest of this article will focus on Robert Accutrone, the Sternritter “N.” Accutrone had a very big moment during the first invasion and played a notable role in the second one. This article will focus a bit on his story but more on his powers; the story will be told only when we need it to actually explain the powers we are talking about, with the focus being on his Quincy: Vollständig, Grimaniel. If you’re not fully up-to-date with Bleach, we must warn you that this article will be spoiler-heavy, so be careful how you approach it.

Grimaniel was one of the first Quincy: Vollständig to be revealed, but Kubo never expanded on the powers of this amazing release

The story of Robert Accutrone in Bleach is certainly intriguing, that much we can attest to. He was the Sternritter “N,” but the full name of his Schrift was never revealed, which is a rare occurrence but not wholly unique, as BG9, the Sternritter “K,” was also left without a specific name for his Schrift. Be that as it may, he was also one of the first Sternritter to be introduced, as he faced Shunsui Kyoraku during the first invasion.

As stated, he first appeared when he fought Captain Shunsui Kyoraku of the 8th Division during the first invasion; in that encounter, he shot Kyoraku in the eye. He was a very talented gunfighter. Later, he was observed attempting to halt Ichigo and engage Byakuya Kuchiki, both of which failed.

Since they were not among the selected, he ultimately predicted that Yhwach would merely use them for his own benefit. His prediction proved to be accurate, as Yhwach soon triggered Auswahlen, and Robert could not handle it, dying as a result. In the end, we can certainly confirm that Robert Accutrone, as a character, was severely underused and that such a highly skilled individual certainly had more potential, but Kubo probably had to cut a lot of ideas involving him as well because the manga was rushed. But, we can nevertheless discuss his powers and abilities, as we do know something about them.

As stated, Robert Accutrone was the Sternritter “N.” The full name of his power was not revealed, but we assume that it had something to do with precision or marksmanship, as he used handguns as a weapon; he looked like an assassin, actually, with his coat and the briefcase he is always carrying around with him, and his personality was also cold and professional as that as a hired assassin.

Robert is a very powerful character among the Sternritter, able to rival Shunsui Kyōraku during the first invasion. His lightning-fast attacks and mastery of Quincy: Vollständig makes him a formidable and elusive opponent. Robert is a fighter of a level equivalent, or even higher, than a Captain of the 13 Divisions. In the first battle, he competed with Shunsui Kyōraku, one of the most powerful Captains of the Gotei 13, and even managed to beat him.

It should be noted that Kyōraku, already restricted by the impossibility of using his Bankai, was strongly affected psychologically by Yamamoto’s death, and Robert took advantage of this opening to defeat him. On the other hand, Robert is very durable in combat, being able to continue fighting even when injured. Due to his position, Robert obviously masters the basic Quincy techniques. By absorbing spiritual particles, he can move through the air or levitate, among other things.

Using his Quincy abilities, Robert can create weapons from surrounding Reishi. His favorite weapon is a pistol, which fires projectiles powerful enough to injure a Captain like Kyōraku. Thanks to his speed, Robert is a very fast fighter, rivaling Shunsui Kyōraku. During the second battle, using his Vollständig, he even managed to surprise Ichigo, who had returned from his training at Reiōkyū but could not injure him. The same thing happened when he faced Byakuya, who was much faster than him and could defeat him effortlessly.

But, like all the other Sternritter, Accutrone could activate his Quincy: Vollständig, and it was actually one of the first ones we’ve seen, as he decided to show Grimaniel during his initial fight with Kyoraku when the Sternritter didn’t really activate their Quincy: Vollständig; of course, a lot of them didn’t do it because they had stolen the Captains’ Bankai, and it is a well-known fact that the Sternritter cannot use a Bankai and Quincy: Vollständig at the same time – if they have a Bankai, the Quincy: Vollständig becomes unusable while the Bankai is in their possession.

So, as we have said, Robert Accutrone’s Quincy: Vollständig is called Grimaniel, and unlike some other Quincy: Vollständig, it doesn’t change Robert’s appearance at all. He retains his clothes, and his physical appearance is also unaltered, but he does – as is usual – get a pair of winds and a Heiligschein above his head; his Reiatsu also turns green, but all of this is usual for all Quincy: Vollständig and Robert’s is not special in this aspect.

When he uses Sklaverei, though, if he is able to collect enough Reishi, he can create a mask that covers parts of his face, which makes him look more like a soldier or even more like an assassin, but that’s about it.

As for the powers and abilities, his Quincy: Vollständig special ability has also not been revealed, as it has in the case of all the Bambies, As Nodt, and even PePe Waccabrada. This is probably because Robert Accutrone’s main power is unknown, so it did not make much sense for Kubo to write up an enhanced version of a power he did not reveal in the first place. This is why we keep saying that Robert Accutrone is a severely underused character and that he has much more to offer.

But it’s not like we know absolutely nothing about his Quincy: Vollständig and how it affects his powers and abilities. Namely, it is quite apparent that the Quincy: Vollständig makes Robert Accutrone significantly stronger. His firepower is undoubtedly greater, and while we haven’t really seen him use it much, we assume that it had even more destructive power than when he used his gun to shoot Kyoraku’s eye out.

But, aside from the obvious boost in power, Quincy: Vollständig enhances Robert’s most pronounced traits – his speed and his reflexes. Speed has always been his forte – this was seen during all of his battles (Kyoraku, Ichigo, Byakuya) – so it makes sense that his Quincy: Vollständig makes him incredibly fast, and it does. The issue here was that in the second part, he actually fought two opponents who were way above him in that aspect.

Namely, both Ichigo and Byakuya had trained with the Royal Guard, and in that aspect, it makes sense that both of them have far surpassed anything that the Sternritter could throw at them. This is why it makes sense that Robert could not harm either Ichigo or Byakuya during that fight and that Byakuya even managed to defeat him with relative ease.

And sadly, this is where our story stops. Robert Accutrone remains a severely underused character, but in this article, we have provided you with all the information known about his Quincy: Vollständig, Grimaniel, which you can use as a valid source of information, as this is really everything that is known.
