Giancarlo Esposito Talks About How 'Breaking Bad' Literally Saved His Life

Recently, Giancarlo Esposito made news by saying he wants to play Professor X in the MCU, but without the wheelchair because he doesn’t feel that old. Fans were split on this because some still hope Patrick Stewart will be the main Charles Xavier in the MCU, even though his character died in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.’

At a panel on Thunder Stage at CCXP, Esposito confirmed he’ll be in a Marvel project, but it won’t be as Professor X.

Yesterday, news broke that Giancarlo Esposito will be playing a villain in ‘Captain America: Brave New World.’ This is all that’s confirmed; now the speculation begins.

Esposito has been secretive about the role, only revealing that it’s a “new” character, which could mean new to the MCU or an original character. He also mentioned that this character will get a standalone Disney+ series.

Fans have been trying to guess Esposito’s role for a while, and some characters like Doctor Doom, Professor X, Dario Agger, and Count Nefaria have been ruled out, but others are still in the running.

Recently, Atlanta Filming, a reputable industry insider, shared a drawing of what appears to be Esposito’s character from the set of ‘Brave New World.’ The drawing is basic and funny, but it has enough hints and specific features to help figure out who the character is. However, fans have been trying to figure it out for a while and haven’t had much luck. You can see the drawing below:

The leaker also gave several hints and descriptions to make this guessing game easier.

The character has bluish hair, wears a black coat with brown lining, sunglasses, and boots. They carry three guns, three knives, and an axe. This character is a chaotic villain, made to be comic-accurate but not based on one specific comic. They are not Magneto, Doctor Doom, Norman Osborn, Dario Agger, or Count Nefaria. The role is meant to be a surprise, with the character being teased before a full reveal and getting their own series.
