Jujutsu Kaisen is one of those anime series that has made a global impact quite quickly. This dark fantasy show that looks a lot like a slightly modernized version of Tite Kubo’s classic Bleach captured the hearts of millions of fans worldwide. Jujutsu Kaisen is considered to be among the best and most complete modern-day anime series. After a 24-episode first season and a prequel movie, the second season of the anime began airing in July 2023 and is currently airing in Japan and around the world. In light of that, we can finally confirm that we have finally gotten some official news on the dub release. In this article, we will tell you everything you need to know about it.

The second season of Jujutsu Kaisen, which premiered on July 6, 2023, is currently airing in Japan around the world in Japanese, but Crunchyroll has confirmed that the English dubbed version will premiere on July 20 at 1:30 pm PDT, with other languages to follow in the forthcoming weeks. The premiere will start with Episode 1 of the anime and will continue airing new episodes on a weekly basis.

The rest of this article will bring you all the known and unknown information related to the dubbed version of season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen. You’re going to find out about its official release date, as well as the voice actors involved. We will also give you some additional information on the anime so you can prepare yourselves for this event.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 dub release date

Now, as of July 2023, Jujutsu Kaisen has a total of 24 episodes released between October 3, 2020, and March 27, 2021, as part of the first season of the anime series, produced by MAPPA, a prequel movie, and two episodes of the currently airing second season of the anime. The series initially aired in Japan before being made available in dubbed format thanks to Crunchyroll and some other streaming services in the West.

Jujutsu Kaisen was enormously popular, and people loved the anime series, which is why it was somewhat strange that a second season was not announced immediately after the first season’s conclusion, especially since the manga is still ongoing and there is material to adapt.

But, instead of a second season, we actually got an official movie announcement, as MAPPA confirmed that the prequel manga, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, would be getting an anime movie adaptation set for a December 24, 2021 release.

The fans were hyped, and once the movie came out, it was actually dubbed as one of the best anime movies of the year and was a global hit, but fans nevertheless wanted more. Now, knowing that the manga was still ongoing and that there was material for more episodes, and having taken into account the popularity of the series, a second season of Jujutsu Kaisen was certain, although we had to wait until February 2022 for an official confirmation that Jujutsu Kaisen would be coming back for a second season, which was then scheduled to air in 2023.

Over the course of the year, it was confirmed that the series would air over two cours and which arcs it would end up adapting, along with the confirmation of 2023. The season – in its original Japanese version – finally premiered on July 6, 2023, and is currently airing on a weekly basis.

But, not everyone likes to watch their anime in Japanese, and people also wanted to know about the dubbed version. And while we knew that dub was on its way and that it would probably be at least two weeks between the first subbed and first dubbed episode, on July 19, 2023, we’ve finally gotten confirmation that the Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 English dub will premiere on Thursday, April 20, at 1:30 pm PDT. Dates for other dubs were released as well (the dates for the French and German dubs will be confirmed later):

  • July 27 – Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Russian
  • August 3 – Italian
  • August 10 – Castilian Spanish
