So, we have the first weekend box office numbers directly from Japan, and as far as the Detective Conan: One-Eyed Flashback movie is concerned, we have some amazing news that had been foreshadowed by the premiere numbers.

The numbers confirm that the movie has earned 3,438,626,700 yen (about US$24.15 million) over the weekend and sold 2,314,690 tickets, which is amazing. On a day-to-day basis, the movie sold 697,355 tickets on Friday to earn 1,058,422,300 yen (about US$7.43 million); 835,908 tickets on Saturday to earn 1,246,314,200 yen (about US$8.75 million); and 781,427 tickets on Sunday to earn 1,133,870,200 yen (about US$7.96 million).

What does this mean comparatively? Well, knowing that the previous franchise record-holder, The Million-dollar Pentagram, sold 2,274,333 tickets and earned 3,352,494,500 yen (about US$21.7 million) during its first weekend, we can notice that it is a solid increase.

This means that One-Eyed Flashback has broken another franchise record and is now the best movie in terms of premiere day and first weekend earnings. This s a good sign that it might break the other records set last year as well, which would be amazing!
