Did Anthony Mackie Just Hint at Hulk’s Appearance in ‘Captain America: Brave New World’?

“Captain America: Brave New World” is the upcoming MCU installment to look forward to. Scheduled for release in theaters on February 14, 2025, only one trailer has been released so far.

This movie marks Sam Wilson’s first standalone appearance as Captain America and will feature Thaddeus Ross as Red Hulk, as confirmed in the trailer.

Based on current information, the movie will focus on Sam Wilson as he attempts to gather the Avengers at Thunderbolt Ross’s request, only to discover Ross has ulterior motives. The plot will also address the presence of a dead Celestial emerging from Earth’s surface and the resulting production of Adamantium, one of the universe’s strongest metals.

However, there might be more to anticipate. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Anthony Mackie hinted at the possibility of another Hulk appearing in the movie—specifically, Mark Ruffalo’s Jade Goliath.

The events of ‘Hulk’ and his film don’t pertain to this movie at all. When he shows up, not Red Hulk the other Hulk, there are multiple Hulks, but there’s only one Red Hulk. There’s only one. That’s it. There will never be another Red Hulk. […] When he shows up, his world his universe, his story is completely separate from the way we utilize in him our story.

The wording might be unclear, but it seems Mackie just hinted at a major reveal involving two Hulks in the movie. Remember, a few months ago, Ruffalo initially confirmed his appearance in ‘Brave New World,’ only to retract his statement a few hours later, saying it was a mistake.

Solid rumors and speculations suggest the MCU is setting up a World War Hulk storyline across various projects. While Hulk can’t have his own standalone movie yet due to complicated rights with Universal, leakers indicate that the World War Hulk event will unfold through different MCU installments. ‘Brave New World’ is expected to be one of the steps in transforming Professor Hulk into Savage Hulk.
