Yashiro Nanakase (King of Fighters)
Another fighting game character but this time from the game King of Fighters was popular at the end of the 1900s and beginning of the 2000s. Yashiro sacrificed himself to ensure Orochi will live in the game, but still makes an appearance in the later games.
Yes-Man (Fallout: New Vegas)
A robot and supporting character of the best Fallout game ever made, Yes-Man does have an important role in the New Vegas’s endgame. Formerly a servant to Benny, Courier’s almost murderer, and his enemy, Yes-Man offers his services to overturn the leader of New Vegas, Mr. House and his government, and gives you an alternative to taking over the Independent State of New Vegas. He only can say yes.
Yang Fang Leiden (Final Fantasy IV)
Yang Fang is one of the playable characters in Final Fantasy IV, which was released for Super Nintendo in 1991. He does come back in 2008, for the game’s sequel, and the humbleness and respect he gained from others, makes him a King in the 2008’s sequel of the game.

The Unforgiven as he is known throughout Runeterra, Yasuo is an Ionian with immense swordsmanship, who wields wind against his enemies. After a difficult past, he now wanders through Ionia with the only wind as his company. In the game, Yasuo is notorious for his great agile movement and just being overall annoying. Yone (League of Legends)
Yasuo’s half-brother, Yone was killed in self-defense, and since then is cursed by a mysterious entity of the spirit realm. Now cursed to wear a demonic mask on his face, Yone hunts anything and anyone to find out what is going on with him. In the game, he is a fairly new champion, but already has a reputation of being really annoying if being played against you.
Yuumi (League of Legends)
A Magical Cat from Bandle City, Yuumi is an ancient being that seeks friendly companions to partner with on her journey, protecting them with her magical shields and fierce resolve. In the game, Yuumi is the most hated champion the game – her eternal healing and shielding of teammates during huge fights make them unkillable.
Yorick (League of Legends)
Shepherd of Souls, Yorick is the last survivor of the long-forgotten religious order, he is both pleased and cursed with the power over death. His only companions are rotting corpses and shrieking spirits of the Shadow Isles. In the game, Yorick is a forgotten top-laner that could be really powerful if Riot Games decides to actually work on him for a change.

After thinking about retiring, the five-time world champion knocks on his door, and everything escalates from there.

Yugo the Wolf is a playable character in the fighting game franchise, my personal favorite, Bloody Roar. He is a former boxer and with his brother Bakaryu, one of the most important characters of the Bloody Roar games. He can transform into Wolf and is quite a powerful individual.

He debuted in 1994, in the first Tekken game and since then has been a playable character in every Tekken sequel. His unique look and cool backstory make him really interesting, but his fighting style motivates players to master him and beat anyone in their way.
Yuna (Final Fantasy)
The main protagonist of Final Fantasy X, Yuna appeared in multiple future projects released since then and is one of the more popular characters that came out of the Final Fantasy franchise.

Yaddle is a minor character in the epic space opera franchise Star Wars. She was an ancient and legendary Jedi Master who lived through nearly half of the Republic Era and periodically maintained a seat on the Jedi High Council. Yao is part of the trio with Ling and Chien Po and one of the supporting characters in Disney’s legendary animated movie Mulan. He is grumpy, and resentful towards Ping (Mulan) at the beginning but when he actually meets Mulan, he respects her more than anyone.

Robert Callaghan, also known as a Yokai, is the main antagonist in Disney’s Big Hero 6 franchise. He is a former professor at the Institute of Technology and the father of Abigail Callaghan. He descended into madness after his experiment harmed his daughter Abigail.
