One major project making the leap from the DCEU to the newly established DCU is Peacemaker. Season 2 of Peacemaker was already confirmed to be in development when James Gunn stated that the series would be canon within the DCU.

He reassured fans that the integration would be seamless and straightforward, ensuring a smooth transition from the DCEU to the DCU for audiences.

Gunn has further connected the upcoming second season of Peacemaker with the highly anticipated animated series Creature Commandos, set to premiere in less than two months.

Regarding Peacemaker‘s ties to the DCU, it’s evident that Gunn is making every effort to incorporate numerous references, which is why there are rumors about Hoult’s Luthor also making an appearance in the show.

However, it appears that Gunn will introduce an entirely new character to the cinematic universe, something he teased himself on social media.

The image features a Native American man gazing into a fire, but we still don’t know who is portraying this character, and Gunn did not confirm his identity in the comments.

That said, speculation is certainly welcome! Some fans suggested that, based on his hair, this could be Savant from Suicide Squad, especially with Joel Kinnaman rumored to reprise his role as Rick Flag Jr.

Others, however, pointed out—primarily based on heritage—that the character could be either Snowflame or Arak.

Snowflame is a drug lord who gains his powers from cocaine consumption, which grants him superhuman strength, speed, and stamina. The more cocaine he ingests, the stronger he becomes, although this also results in increasingly unstable behavior, fitting well with the overall themes of Peacemaker.

Arak, also known as Son of Thunder, is portrayed as a Native American warrior with ties to various indigenous cultures, particularly those of the North American Plains tribes. His character draws inspiration from the legends and traditions of these cultures, often incorporating elements of magic and the supernatural that reflect the rich mythology of Native American folklore. He is also connected to various mythological beings and forces.
