Gunn’s New Move: Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luthor Rumored to Appear in Peacemaker Season 2
A major project moving from the DCEU to the newly established DCU is Peacemaker. Season 2 of Peacemaker has been confirmed, with James Gunn stating that the show will be part of the DCU canon. He promised that the transition from the DCEU to the DCU would be smooth and clear for viewers.
Gunn has further linked the upcoming second season of Peacemaker with the much-anticipated animated series Creature Commandos, set to debut this year.
Set leaks from Superman have revealed that Grillo’s Rick Flag Sr. will appear in the upcoming film, reinforcing the connection between the two projects. Recently, there are rumors that Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luthor, an important cast member from Superman, will also make an appearance in Peacemaker Season 2.
This rumor was reported by Grace Randolph, but given her mixed track record, it’s wise to approach this news with caution.
Details about the plot of Peacemaker Season 2 are still scarce, except that it will continue from where the first season left off. The first season was established as canon when James Gunn included Rick Flag Sr. and referenced the murder of his son, which also complicated the continuity by making Cavill’s Superman part of the DCU.
If Lex Luthor appears in the second season, his role remains unclear. However, his involvement is likely tied to Rick Flag’s appearance in Superman, particularly given that Flag arrests Superman in one of the scenes. This could set up a potential collaboration between the two characters. What are your thoughts? Share them in the comments below!
