Jujutsu Kaisen: Will Inumaki Get His Arm Back?

Toge Inumaki from Jujutsu Kaisen, despite not being a central character in the series, is incredibly popular because he is quite quirky and special. Due to his power, he has to speak using codes that won’t harm his friends, making him very popular among the fans. In this article, we are going to explore one major aspect of Inumaki’s story. Namely, as you probably know, Inumaki got caught up in Sukuna’s Domain in Shibuya, which resulted in him losing his arm. In this article, we are going to go over what happened in Shibuya and tell you whether Inumaki will get his hand back in the future.

Toge Inumaki was caught up in Sukuna’s Domain

Toge arrived late in the Shibuya Incident to assist his friend Yuji. He allowed Yuji to enter the station and dealt with Mahito’s transfigured humans. And that was more or less it until later when he could be seen watching a group of people who were in danger of dying since they were too close to Sukuna’s Domain Expansion. And with that – Toge’s story in Shibuya ended. We did not see him later, but we found out what happened to him.

Later, following the incident, we find out that he lost his left arm to Sukuna’s Domain, albeit this was never shown in the main manga panels. It was confirmed that Toge Inumaki lost his arms as a result of Sukuna’s rage in Shibuya when Yuta publicly blamed Yuji for what happened to him during their conversation with the higher-ups.

As we’ve already mentioned, we never actually learned the full story of what happened to Toge in Shibuya, but given Sukuna’s techniques, we can speculate on what might have happened. We know that Sukuna can use his powerful Domain to kill or injure multiple individuals simultaneously. He can also utilize his techniques, Cleave and Dismantle, inside his Domain and even create the condition that these techniques impact everything confined inside. Seeing how Inumaki’s arm was sliced off and how he was taken care of with a special bandage that was used to control Sukuna’s fingers, we can deduce that the Domain’s techniques caught him and that he lost his arm like that.

And that is what happened in Shibuya, but… is Maki going to get his arm back? We’ll explore that in the next section.

As things stand now, Toge Inumaki won’t be getting his arm back

Well, we know that Jujutsu Kaisen is known as a series where even the deadliest of injuries can be healed. Just remember how Gojo healed himself after being mauled by Toji. The Reverse Cursed Technique is an ability that some characters have and can use to heal themselves, and that is always a possibility. But, this ability is quite rare, and we can confirm that Toge Inumaki cannot use it, which means that he cannot regenerate his hand like this.

There is Shoko Ieiri as well, the only jujutsu sorceress who can use her Reverse Cursed Technique on others, which is why she is the school’s official healer and medic. Knowing that she has healed numerous other characters, there was a possibility that Ieiri would have been able to heal Inumaki, but as things stand – Inumaki won’t be regaining his arm ever.

Namely, his bandaged torso was shown in a brief scene, where we saw that it was bandaged using a special material that we’ve seen earlier: it is the same bandage that Sukuna’s fingers were covered with to prevent them from being detected. It seems that Sukuna’s attack on Toge was so special and so dangerous that even Shoko could do nothing about it, so they simply fixed him up as best as they could to prevent Sukuna’s powerful cursed energy from dealing even more damage. And that is why Toge will probably never regain his arm in the series.
