Kumail Nanjiani Cast as DCU’s Booster Gold According to Rumors
The DCU has several projects in active development, including a live-action ‘Booster Gold’ TV series. James Gunn recently confirmed that the show is in active development but won’t begin production in the near future.
Despite this, rumors about casting the lead role have been circulating. Due to their connections with DCU head James Gunn, both Antony Starr and Chris Pratt have been linked to the role of Booster Gold.
NexusPoint News has reported that Kumail Nanjiani has been cast as Booster Gold. However, it’s advisable to approach this news with caution as they haven’t provided substantial evidence to support the claim, apart from a vague social media post that suggests Nanjiani may now be involved with the DCU.
The development of ‘Booster Gold’ has been lengthy, dating back to its initial order by the SyFy channel in 2011, long before the DCU was involved. Recently, reports have indicated that several writers have joined the series. The team includes Danny McBride, John Carcieri, and Jeff Fradley, known for their collaboration on ‘The Righteous Gemstones.’
Kumail Nanjiani, known for his successful career as a writer, actor, comedian, and podcaster, boasts an impressive resume. He has appeared in various television shows, with notable roles in ‘Silicon Valley’ and ‘Franklin & Bash.’ Nanjiani has also starred in films such as ‘The Big Sick,’ which he co-wrote and based on his personal experiences, as well as ‘Stuber,’ ‘The Lovebirds,’ and the upcoming ‘Eternals.’
