Marvel’s Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness: Official Teaser Trailer Released

Not even a week after we saw Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange again in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Disney and Marvel Studios are already preparing us for the next chapter. The official teaser trailer for the upcoming MCU movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was officially released.
Announced in July 2019, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is the sequel to 2016’s MCU movie Doctor Strange in which Benedict Cumberbatch debuted as the Master of the Mystic Arts. Cumberbatch reprised the role in Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and most recently in What If…? and Spider-Man: No Way Home. So, Multiverse of Madness will be his seventh MCU appearance.
Elizabeth Olsen will reprise the role of Wanda Maximoff, also known as Scarlet Witch. Events of her own Disney+ series WandaVision are leading directly into this movie. The post-credit scene of Spider-Man: No Way Home gave us the first look at the Multiverse of Madness, and now Marvel released it officially on YouTube and other social media, as well as the first poster. The movie takes place after the events of the WandaVision series, the first season of the Loki series, and Spider-Man: No Way Home. Dr. Stephen Strange wants to continue his research for the Time Stone, but once is that hindered by his former friend-turned-enemy, unspeakable evil will be unleashed.
Directed by the director of the Spider-Man trilogy, Sam Raimi, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be released on May 6, 2022. The movie is starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Rachel McAdams, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Elizabeth Olsen. Xochitl Gomez will make her debut as America Chavez.
