Pedro Pascal Reveals If The Mandalorian Could Appear In A Star Wars Movie In The Future
We have already written about how Disney and Lucasfilm concluded The Skywalker Saga of Star Wars and now they decided to focus more on the small screen content, which resulted in three live-action shows on Disney+ so far, and there are many more to come. Still, it’s known that Disney won’t stop developing a Star Wars content for the silver screen, and there are several Star Wars anthology movies currently in development.
Ever since Disney has put more focus on streaming and TV shows, Game of Thrones and Narcos star Pedro Pascal became one of the franchise’s biggest stars. Pascal plays Din Djarin, commonly known as The Mandalorian, in the homonymous Disney+ series which premiered as the launch show for Disney+ in November 2019, and the third season is expected to arrive in February next year, as Disney recently announced. Pascal also played the character in The Book of Boba Fett earlier this year.
While Mandalorian is one of the best-known characters on the small screen, that bears the question if we’re ever going to see this famous bounty hunter on the silver screen. Pascal was recently asked the same question Star Wars Celebration event.
“That’s a good question. Don’t you think it’s inevitable? I personally…I have no idea, but that would be a dream come true. Not that any more dreams could possibly come true! Maybe I’ve had my fill.” — Pedro Pascal for Variety
Pedro Pascal definitely has a bright future in the Star Wars universe, and we aren’t talking only about The Mandalorian series. Star Wars universe is so interconnected that Pascal showing up in any other project, regardless if it’s on the small or the big screen, shouldn’t surprise anyone, especially after he showed up in The Book of Boba Fett.
There are several Star Wars projects that Disney is currently developing for the big screen. Thor: Ragnarok and Thor: Love and Thunder director Taika Waititi is set to direct one of the upcoming movies, Rogue Squadron movie is also in development with Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins attached, and there’s an unknown movie which MCU boss Kevin Feige is set to produce.
