Rumors Hint at Venom’s Future in the MCU: Character to Feature in Major Upcoming Project

Sony’s Spider-Man Universe had a rocky start this year with the major flop ‘Madame Web.’ Fortunately, there are still opportunities to turn things around with two notable releases on the horizon: ‘Kraven the Hunter’ and the final installment of the ‘Venom’ franchise.

That’s right, ‘Venom: The Last Dance’ will be the final ‘Venom’ movie in the SSU, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the end of Venom.

According to notable scooper and leaker MyTimeToShineHello, Venom will make an appearance in ‘Spider-Man 4,’ though he won’t be the main villain.

‘Spider-Man 4’ has been in development for a while now, with little information available aside from occasional rumors. Currently, rumors suggest that Daredevil, Kingpin, Black Cat, and Miles Morales may appear in the film, which is said to blend street-level and Multiversal themes.

These rumors are fueled by speculation that Kevin Feige is exploring ways to integrate Venom into the MCU. In the post-credit scene of ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage,’ Venom exposes Eddie to different universes, leading him to Tom Holland’s ‘Spider-Man’ universe. However, in the post-credits scene of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home,’ Eddie is returned to his own universe, leaving behind a piece of symbiote goo, hinting at further development.

‘Venom: The Last Dance’ is scheduled for release in the United States on October 25, 2024, in IMAX and other premium formats. Initially set for October 2024, it was rescheduled to July 12, 2024, due to the SAG-AFTRA strike.
