Ryan Reynolds Teases a Grim Future for Deadpool in the MCU: “I Know Why Thor Was Crying. I Can’t Unknow It”

“Deadpool & Wolverine” was released just over a week ago and continues to break box-office records, receiving an overwhelmingly positive response from fans. The film is packed with references, gags, cameos, and instances of fourth wall breaking—typical Deadpool fare.

In one scene, TVA’s Mr. Paradox shows Deadpool a screen where Thor is seen crying over Deadpool. Mr. Paradox quickly changes the scene, stating that Deadpool wasn’t supposed to see that.

True to his jokester nature, Ryan Reynolds shared the scene on social media, captioning it with, “I know why Thor was crying. I can’t unknow it.”

Fans quickly began joking in the comments, initially dismissing the scene as just a random gag from the movie. However, the conversation took a turn when Chris Hemsworth, aka the MCU’s Thor, joined in:

This sparked an intriguing theory suggesting that Deadpool might die during the events of “Secret Wars.”

In the “Secret Wars” storyline, which inspired the upcoming movie, the Thor Corps served as the police of Battleworld, indicating that Thor variants will play a significant role in the film.

Additionally, the “Deadpool’s Secret Secret Wars” storyline recounts Deadpool’s involvement in the 1984 Secret Wars, which was “accidentally erased.” This hints that the MCU might similarly overlook Deadpool’s contributions or that the TVA could be responsible for erasing his impact in the cinematic event.
