As we all know, Boruto continued the story of Masashi Kishimoto’s Naruto. Now, while a lot of the characters from the original series remained, Boruto also introduced a plethora of new characters that have taken over the protagonist roles from the “old” generation. In this article, we will focus on two of these characters as we compare them to determine which one is stronger. This article will finally reveal whether Boruto Uzumaki is stronger than Sarada Uchiha or not.

Boruto Uzumaki is stronger than Sarada Uchiha. And while Sarada is the daughter of Sasuke and Sakura, her powers aren’t really on that level just yet, and Boruto, with his Jōgan and his heritage (he is Naruto’s son, after all), clearly surpasses her. Still, the two of them are really good friends, and we somehow doubt that they would end up fighting, but if they were to, Boruto would win.

The rest of this article will further elaborate on the above-given answer, as we will compare Boruto and Sarada in more detail. Through several categories, you will see who the stronger of the two is and why our answer is like it is, i.e., why Boruto would ultimately be able to defeat Sarada in a direct fight.

Chakra and physical powers

Sarada has strong chakra because she is a Uchiha. Sarada inherited her mother’s adept chakra management. She was already capable of collecting chakra in her fists and releasing it upon contact with a target to have terrible effects, like shattering the earth or knocking an opponent far away, before she ever graduated from the Academy. She nearly collapsed due to overusing her Sharingan during a fight with Chōchō. Therefore, her reserves appear to be low. Sarada had more time with her Sharingan during the battle with the New Seven Swordsmen of the Mist.

Despite having had a large portion of his chakra absorbed into himself, Boruto, who inherited his father’s enormous chakra reserves, is nevertheless able to produce four shadow clones. Along with having a significant amount of Ōtsutsuki power, he also has Byakugan user blood, which allowed him to speak with the departed ghost of Momoshiki Ōtsutsuki. He is a strong user of the Rasengan and has impressive chakra control, as evidenced by the fact that he was able to utilize the Rasengan and perform one-handed mudras after just a few days of training before automatically perfecting and upgrading the technique.

Boruto has incredible speed, allowing him to sneak past enemies without being spotted. The display of Boruto’s taijutsu skills showed his capacity to launch continuous assaults by precisely timing the blows from each of his four limbs. As a Hyūga clan member, he had mastered the foundations of Jūken use, but he was unable to target an opponent’s tenketsu without a Byakugan. He is also powerful enough to strike targets with blows that can shatter the earth.

How Did Momoshiki Get Inside Boruto and Can He Come Out?

Comparing anyone with the Uzumaki family members in this category is quite useless and futile since the Uzumaki are known for their incredibly high chakra reserves, and Boruto is not an exception there, which is why he gets this point easily.

Points: Sarada 0, Boruto 1

Ninjutsu

Sarada is quite skilled when Nature Transformations are concerned since, already from a young age, she was already capable of mastering up to three elements. This is a feat of considerable level since mastering two or more natures is only common among Jōnin. She controls the nature of fire, with which she can expel powerful and fiery balls of fire to incinerate her opponent; having copied a considerable amount of Buntan Kurosaki’s techniques, she also mastered control over thunder; and finally, the Yin nature with which she can perform illusions to hypnotize her opponents.

Boruto had the power to create numerous shadow clones and coordinate assaults with them in order to thwart a chûnin or even a jônin before enrolling at the Academy. Initially, Boruto’s clones were only able to work when they were in his direct line of sight. His father also showed him a number of sexy techniques. Boruto initially failed at mastering the Rasengan, but with Konohamaru’s assistance, he was able to construct a miniature version between two hands, then grow it to its full size with just one hand.

When he entered the Ryūchi Cave, he struck a pact with Garaga that allowed him to summon the giant serpent whenever he wanted. Additionally, he formed a connection with snakes and was able to help any snake by befriending it. He may also employ group ninjutsu and fūinjutsu techniques to restrict an opponent’s movement and increase the power of their attacks.

This is a category where Boruto doesn’t really surpass Sarada. Not that he’s weak, but Sarada is really skilled when it comes to Ninjutsu, and this is why we had to split the points.

Dōjutsu

When Sarada was 11 years old, the pleasure of finally seeing her father after a long absence caused her one-tomoe Sharingan in each eye to activate. She rapidly adjusted to his enhanced visual acuity as she had only just awoken him, making it easier for her to predict danger, respond quickly, and see chakra threads. She can effectively use genjutsu with it to drive them away. Sarada can mimic the mudras of foes while watching them use a technique so she can employ it concurrently with the original user. She awoke her Sharingan three tomoe shortly after participating in the Chūnin Exams. She awoke her two-tomoe Sharingan in the anime during her second battle with Deepa while on a mission in the Land of Valleys.

After having a dream about Toneri Ōtsutsuki and seeing Nue when he was eight years old, Boruto started involuntarily activating the Jōgan in his right eye. The eye initially only instinctively opened when there was a serious threat, as it had been inactive for a long period before meeting Momoshiki Ōtsutsuki. He was able to activate it on his own, nevertheless, at the age of 16. He can sense things that are often unseen to the human sight thanks to this dōjutsu. Boruto can track a target through his chakra and observe changes in it thanks to his ability to discern chakra flow. Additionally, he can see beyond the invisible walls that separate dimensions and the central points of the circulatory chakra system.

And while Sarada can use the Sharingan, this eye technique cannot properly compare to Boruto’s Jōgan, the most recent and quite powerful dōjutsu. It would certainly give Boruto the advantage and that is reflected in this category as well.

Points: Sarada 1, Boruto 3

Intelligence

Sarada Uchiha is an exceptionally skilled and talented girl. She is one of the best students of her generation, and she had proven her intelligence on numerous occasions when it was needed. She also has a very good tactical approach, thanks to that. Her father, Sasuke Uchiha, was one of the most intelligent characters in the series, so it makes sense that Sarada was portrayed in a similar manner.

Does Boruto Have the Byakugan, Tenseigan, or Jōgan?

Despite the fact that he is frequently negligent to the point of being perceived as lazy, Boruto is incredibly perceptive and excels at reading the situation and responding to it. Despite sharing his father’s appearance, he exhibits extraordinary creativity when using the Multi-Cloning technique for intricate schemes. He nevertheless presents it more subtly because he can only use four clones. He learned to use a variety of subtle feints and deceptions, which helped him defeat Momoshiki and Iwabee even though he generally preferred a more direct style of fighting. He also develops the habit of winning battles by exploiting the flaws of both his adversaries and himself. It was shown that he could expertly handle complex problems using his own approaches.

Inojin claimed that he was talented at it. Additionally, he was the only pupil in his class to completely complete the written component of the final exams without making use of any form of academic fraud, achieving an ideal score. By incorporating his companions’ strengths into his own strategy, Boruto is also adept at enhancing their potential. Even the famed jinin and seasoned veteran of Kiri Village Ao, who possessed powerful cybernetic weapons and decades of expertise, was deceived and ultimately defeated by his cunning in battle.

It’s not that difficult to surpass an Uzumaki in this category. Boruto, like Naruto, is not stupid, be he is reckless and can get absentminded like his father, which is why this last point goes to Sarada.

Sarada Uchiha vs. Boruto Uzumaki: Who wins?

Even if it were not for the points, which definitely confirm our thesis, it was clear from the very beginning that Boruto was the more powerful character of the two. Sarada is skilled, and she does have a powerful background, but Boruto does as well, and over the years, he has trained to become more powerful, thereby surpassing Sarada. It’s good that they would never fight, but if they were to, Boruto would win.
