Sophie Lark Books Reading Order: The Complete Guide

Sophie Lark Books Reading Order

If you’re into the suspenseful, crime-induced romance genre, look no further than Sophie Lark. She is an incredibly prolific author that produced over 20 books in a span of a few years, each one greater than the other.

However, with such a great amount of books, in such a small time frame, it can get hard to keep up and create a reading order for yourself. Don’t worry, that is why we created it for you! Here’s a complete guide through the reading order of Sophie Lark’s books.

Sophie Lark Books Reading Order: At A Glance

Sophie is a very prolific and active author, having already produced four major book series, and four stand-alones. The first series, Underworld, was initially published as Colors of Crime, and the books were published in a different order.

Author’s additional notes: “I have always been fascinated by true crime, as well as by villains and anti-heroes. A serial killer is, of course, the ultimate anti-hero — the baddest of the bad boys. Redeeming a character who starts so evil was a challenge that inspired me to entirely new heights and entirely new depths. Come on this darkly sensual and utterly brain-bending ride with me!”

And I’m tempting her to do things she never thought she’d do… Shaw won’t stop hunting her. When the time comes to act, will Mara be ready?”

Author’s additional notes: “I was so pleased how many women identified with Mara’s character – with her sensory issues and history of trauma. It sounds crazy to call this an “inspirational story of murder”, but at the end of part two, I hope you will indeed feel inspired by Mara’s journey.”

Standalones

  1. Always (December 2019)
sophie lark always

Description: “Always” is a Second Chance Romance, inspired by Jane Austen’s “Persuasion”. It will break your heart and put it back together again with a HEA that will leave you cheering. This is a stand-alone novel, the first in the Classic Billionaires series.

Synopsis: “Your First Love Is With You Always… Two gorgeous billionaire bachelors have come to New York City, and Anika Knight has an unfortunate connection to both of them… Marco Moretti is the Italian playboy trying to take over her family’s business. But he’s planning another kind of hostile takeover – of Anika herself.

James Dawson just sold the biggest tech company in Silicon Valley. He’s come to the city for a fresh start. But also to rub his success in the face of the woman who rejected him eight years earlier: Anika Knight. Will Marco manage to steal Anika’s heart along with her business? Or will James fall in love with her all over again, despite his best efforts to the contrary?”

Author’s additional notes: “This was the first romance novel I ever wrote. It’s a loose modern adaptation of my all-time favorite romance “Persuasion” by Jane Austen. I identify with the heroine’s inability to ever stop longing for her first and only love. I later gender-swapped this concept for my mafia novel “Bloody Heart”.”

  1. The CEO Of Cristo (March 2020)
sophie lark ceo cristo

Description: “The CEO of Cristo ” is a Secret Baby Billionaire Romance, inspired by Alexandre Dumas’ “The Count of Monte Cristo”. It’s a thrilling and steamy story of jealousy, betrayal, lust, and revenge. This is a stand-alone novel with no cliffhanger and a HEA.

Synopsis: “I Lost The Love Of My Life… My best friend betrayed me. He stole my company and my freedom. I might have forgiven that. But there’s one thing I’ll never forgive. He ripped my love from my arms and wrapped her up in his. He sent me to Hell. Now I’m back. For her, and for my revenge…”

Author’s additional notes: “This was the first time I cried writing a scene. Then I described it to Mr. Lark on the way home from the grocery store and he cried too. We might be big babies 😉 This was also the first time I tried 3 POVs, which allowed for a fun, twisted slant from the 3rd-wheel character.”

I’m surrounded by jealous actresses, crazed fans, and ruthless directors. The only person I can trust is an off-duty detective who may be more distracting than helpful. I only have two weeks before the movie wraps. And I may be working right next to a killer…!”

Author’s additional notes: “Two of my favorite films are “La La Land” and “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”, because they show how Hollywood can be a world unto itself, with its own history and culture.

We all consume movies created there, without really understanding what it means to live and work in that space. I thought it would be fascinating to throw an outsider into that hotbed of glamor and sin, with the imperative of unearthing a secret that everyone else wants to keep buried…”
