9. ‘Frasier’ (1993–2004)

A spin-off of ‘Cheers,’ ‘Frasier’ was created by David Angell, Peter Casey, and David Lee. The sitcom follows psychiatrist Dr. Frasier Crane—played by Kelsey Grammer—back in Seattle as a radio host living with his father Martin (John Mahoney) and interacting with brother Niles (David Hyde Pierce), producer Roz (Peri Gilpin), and Daphne (Jane Leeves).
The original run spanned 11 seasons and 264 episodes on NBC, winning a record-setting haul of Primetime Emmys during its tenure. 8. ‘Dexter’ (2006–2013)

Developed for television by James Manos Jr. from Jeff Lindsay’s novels, ‘Dexter’ stars Michael C. Hall as Dexter Morgan, a Miami Metro blood-spatter analyst who lives by a “code” as a vigilante serial killer. Key cast through the original run includes Jennifer Carpenter, Julie Benz, Lauren Vélez, David Zayas, James Remar, C. S. Lee, and later Desmond Harrington and Aimee Garcia.
The series aired eight seasons and 96 episodes, with showrunners including Clyde Phillips (seasons 1–4) and later Chip Johannessen and Scott Buck. 7. ‘NCIS: Tony & Ziva’ (2025–present)

‘NCIS: Tony & Ziva’ is a Paramount+ spinoff that reunites Michael Weatherly as Anthony DiNozzo and Cote de Pablo as Ziva David, following the pair as they navigate international threats and family life with their daughter Tali. The series is created by John McNamara, who executive produces alongside Weatherly and de Pablo.
The show premiered on September 4, 2025, on Paramount+, with a first-season ensemble that includes Amita Suman, Maximilian Osinski, Lara Rossi, and Julian Ovenden among others. Early episodes establish the Europe-set stakes and connect back to events from the parent series.
6. ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ (1996–2005)

Created by Philip Rosenthal with star Ray Romano, ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ follows sportswriter Ray Barone, his wife Debra, and their extended family in suburban Long Island. The principal cast includes Romano, Patricia Heaton, Brad Garrett, Doris Roberts, Peter Boyle, Madylin Sweeten, and Monica Horan across nine seasons and 210 episodes.
The series originally ran on CBS from 1996 to 2005 and remains an influential multi-camera sitcom. A 30th-anniversary reunion special, hosted by Romano and Rosenthal with the surviving main cast, is scheduled to air on CBS and stream on Paramount+ on November 24, 2025.
5. ‘Criminal Minds’ (2005–2020)

‘Criminal Minds’ centers on the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit profiling serial offenders across the United States. Created by Jeff Davis, the series featured an ensemble across its 15 seasons, including Mandy Patinkin, Thomas Gibson, Shemar Moore, Matthew Gray Gubler, AJ Cook, Paget Brewster, Joe Mantegna, Kirsten Vangsness, Adam Rodriguez, and Aisha Tyler.

3. ‘NCIS’ (2003–present)

‘NCIS’ is the flagship procedural that follows the Naval Criminal Investigative Service’s Major Case Response Team. The show spun off from ‘JAG’ and premiered in 2003, created by Donald P. Bellisario and Don McGill. Over its long run it has featured a rotating ensemble anchored by characters such as Leroy Jethro Gibbs, Timothy McGee, Abby Sciuto, and Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard.

2. ‘Tulsa King’ (2022–present)

‘Tulsa King’ is a crime drama from Taylor Sheridan that stars Sylvester Stallone as Dwight “The General” Manfredi, a New York Mafia capo exiled to Oklahoma to set up a new organization. The ensemble has included Andrea Savage, Martin Starr, Jay Will, Max Casella, Domenick Lombardozzi, Garrett Hedlund, and Dana Delany, with development contributions from Terence Winter and later showrunner work from Dave Erickson.
Season 2 launched in 2024, and Season 3 premiered in September 2025 with additional cast joining the world around Dwight, expanding both law-enforcement and rival-family angles as the series continues on Paramount+.
1. ‘South Park’ (1997–present)

Created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, ‘South Park’ follows four boys—Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny—in a Colorado mountain town where current events and pop culture get skewered through outrageous storylines. Parker and Stone also write, direct, and voice many characters; other principal voice actors include April Stewart and Mona Marshall. New seasons premiere on Comedy Central with next-day streaming on Paramount+.
