Star Wars: Disney+ Reveals First Teaser Trailer For 'Obi-Wan Kenobi'

Disney+ officially revealed the first teaser trailer for the upcoming Star Wars series Obi-Wan Kenobi, in which Ewan McGregor returns to reprise one of his most iconic roles.

Set after the events of Revenge of the Sith, the series follows the titular character watching after young Luke Skywalker after he brought him to Tatooine. Ewan McGregor played the role of younger Obi-Wan Kenobi in George Lucas’ prequel trilogy between 1999 and 2005. McGregor’s portrayal of the character was widely praised by fans and they wanted some sort of spin-off centered on McGregor’s Obi-Wan. Now, that wish was finally granted. It is expected that this series will fill the timeline gap between Episode III and Episode IV.

In the Star Wars prequel trilogy, we watched the path of Obi-Wan who started as a student to Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn, and later he became a Jedi Master to young Anakin Skywalker, who later became the legendary villain Darth Vader. Hayden Christensen will also return as Vader in this series, and he will also reprise the role in the upcoming spin-off series Ahsoka, in which Rosario Dawson will return as the titular character. It will be interesting to see how will Christensen portray Vader now considering this is all set after he was put in that armor.
