Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is a fantasy manga written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe. It has been published since April 28, 2020, and currently has 11 volumes as of the time of writing this article. Set in a fantasy world, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End follows a group of friends who defeated the Demon Lord and now have to continue on with their lives after the end of their journey. The Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End manga is written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe, the duo that is responsible for the creation of this great series. The series began publication in Shogakukan’s popular shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Sunday on April 28, 2020, and has been published ever since. The series has a solid number of Chapters so far (117 as of the time of writing), and an ending has not been announced. The series did go on a brief hiatus on January 18, 2023 – the reasons were not revealed – but resumed quite soon, as the following chapter was published on March 22, 2023. ​

Shōgakukan, the manga’s original publisher, has also collected its chapters into individual tankōbon volumes. The first volume was published on August 18, 2020, and as of December 18, 2023, a total of 12 manga volumes have been published. The overall structure of the series looks like this:

The manga is certainly going to continue past this point, so there will be more volumes in the future; based on the publication pattern, the 13th volume could probably come out somewhere in spring 2024, which isn’t that far away, and with Frieren having a relatively consistent 3-volumes-per-year schedule, we’ll be getting more of the series soon.

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End has also been translated and published in many other languages, including German, French, Italian, and Spanish (which also includes Latin America, not just Spain), so we can really see that the series is quite popular, which means that we are probably going to have the pleasure of reading Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End for several years to come. As of the time of writing, the authors have not given any hints as to when the manga might end, which is definitely a good sign if you ask us.
