As far as The Seven Deadly Sins manga and anime are concerned, it is a well-known fact that the whole series was very popular around the world, despite the fact that a lot of people criticized it for being one of the (best or worst, you pick the word) examples of fan-service in the world of anime. Still, the series did offer us some epic moments and some interesting characters, and Elizabeth Liones, the principal female character of the series, is certainly among them. In this article, we are going to reveal what actually happened to Elizabeth in the series and whether she died or not.

  • Article Breakdown:
  • Elizabeth Liones is the principal female protagonist of the original The Seven Deadly Sins manga series, best known for being Meliodas’ love interest. She has, though, managed to grow as a standalone character as well.
  • After the ending of The Seven Deadly Sins, Elizabeth married Meliodas, as expected, and became the Queen of Liones, as expected. The two of them had a son, Tristan, one of the Four Knights.
  • Although she is still present in the Four Knights of the Apocalypse sequel series, her role is much smaller, and she can now be considered a supporting character in the series as the focus has shifted.

Elizabeth did survive the events of The Seven Deadly Sins, and she is currently the Queen of Liones

Elizabeth Liones is undoubtedly one of the most popular and famous characters from the original The Seven Deadly Sins. She was the series’ female protagonist, and while she was initially introduced as a love interest for Meliodas, she has managed to grow as a character and become an important standalone figure, regardless of her initial status in the story. This is her story from The Seven Deadly Sins and its epilogue.

At the age of 16, in her quest to restore stability to her kingdom from the abuse of power of the Holy Knights, Elizabeth escapes from her castle and, wearing a rusty knight’s armor, begins her quest to reunite the legendary Seven Deadly Sins, meeting Meliodas and Hawk, thus beginning the search for the rest of the Sins. As Elizabeth accompanies Meliodas on his journey, she meets and gains the love and respect of the others and becomes a fugitive when she is spotted with the sins in their constant fights against the Holy Knights.

After she helps reunite five of the Seven Sins, she is kidnapped by Vivian, one of Hendrickson’s servants, who plans to use her for a plan involving the resurrection of the demon clan, forcing the Sins to go to the capital of Liones to save her. Elizabeth would be freed to reunite with her father while the Sins tried to rescue her from the capital of Liones. However, when she is reached by Meliodas and Dreyfus, she is mortally wounded by the latter by accident and is removed from the battlefield by Meliodas, who arrives just in time. She was then taken to a healer.

In such circumstances, she manifests her latent powers for the first time, with which she heals all those injured in the fight against Hendrickson after he supposedly murdered Hawk. With Hendrickson exposed as the one plotting against the Kingdom and the Sins with their names cleared, Elizabeth is able to spend more time with them and Meliodas without being a fugitive.

Unfortunately, Hendrickson, who had survived and was supported by Dreyfus (who somehow survived the assassination attempt on him), uses Elizabeth’s blood to bring back the Ten Commandments, which began to terrorize all the Kingdoms. This brings about a new Holy War in which the Seven Deadly Sins have to give it all to defeat enemies who are as powerful as they are. Elizabeth’s newly discovered powers helped significantly in this war, and after Meliodas managed to defeat his father, the world entered a new period of peace.

Elizabeth, as expected, ended up marrying Meliodas and becoming the new Queen of Liones, as Meliodas became king. The two of them would end up having a child together, Tristan Liones, who is one of the Four Knights of the Apocalypse. Elizabeth’s role, like Meliodas’, decreased in the sequel manga, but she is alive and well, and while she is not as active as she was, she is helping her son and his allies in the fight against Arthur and his evil Chaos, which transformer Camelot into a hellish and very dangerous illusion that is a threat to the whole world.
