‘Spider-Man 4’ is one of the most highly anticipated MCU projects currently in development. Officially announced over a year ago, it was only recently revealed that Destin Daniel Cretton will direct, with Zendaya and Tom Holland set to reprise their roles.

As of now, details about the film remain sparse beyond what has been disclosed. Early reports suggest that the movie will focus on a street-level narrative featuring Spider-Man facing off against Kingpin. This has excited many fans, especially with Kingpin poised to wreak havoc in ‘Daredevil: Born Again.’

Recent rumors suggest that ‘Spider-Man 4’ will not focus on a street-level story. With Kang the Conqueror out of the picture and Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom stepping in as the new antagonist, it appears that the upcoming Spider-Man film will delve into a multiversal narrative.

Several rumors have circulated regarding potential villains, with the latest indicating that Knull, who is set to make his debut in ‘Venom: The Last Dance,’ could serve as the main villain. However, details about the story remain scarce.

In his recent interview with Rich Roll, the actor hinted that the movie will indeed embrace a multiversal theme.

We’re working now, pedal is to the metal, we’re trying to get it going as soon as possible…but there’s still a lot of moving pieces that need to come together for us to hit the ground running.

These shifting elements likely refer to other projects that were either delayed or altered following the Downey announcement, which now need to be adjusted to fit into an already complex timeline of events.
