WandaVision: The Song ‘Agatha All Along’ Has Been Nominated For Grammy

Disney is generally known for making animated movies and/or musical films with amazing music. The Lion King, Mary Poppins, Frozen, Aladdin, The Beauty and the Beast, and The Little Mermaid are only some of them, but it never happened that a Marvel project features a great, catchy song that would ring in our ears for weeks after listening to it. Well, not before WandaVision that is.

Terrific song Agatha All Along was released earlier this year, in the seventh episode of Marvel’s Disney+ show, during the scene when it was revealed, well, that it was Agatha All Along, and not Mephisto as most of Marvel’s fanbase thought it would be at the time. The song recently won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics, and now it’s been nominated for Grammy in the category Best Song Written for Visual Media.

The song was written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, who are known for popular songs Let It Go from Disney’s movie Frozen and Remember Me from Pixar’s movie Coco. Both of these songs earned them an Academy Award in 2014 and 2018, respectively. They have also already won the Grammy Award for Best Song Written for Visual Media back in 2015 for Let It Go.

WandaVision premiered in January this year and it was the first Disney+ show set in Marvel Cinematic Universe, starring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, who reprised their respective roles of Wanda and Vision in Marvel Cinematic Universe. The series consisted of nine episodes, and the seventh episode revealed Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness as the main villain. Hahn will return as Agatha in her own spin-off Agatha: House of Harkness, which is now in development for Disney+, while Elizabeth Olsen will reprise the role of Wanda, now known as Scarlet Witch in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which is set to hit theaters next May.

His favorite director is Christopher Nolan, with Quentin Tarantino and Denis Villeneuve as honorable mentions. Lukas is also a big fan of four fantasy multimedia franchises; The Wizarding World, A Song of Ice and Fire, The Witcher, and The Lord of the Rings. He calls them "the four rulers of the fantasy genre." He loves to write about anything spawned from those franchises (books, games, movies...), as well as anything branded with the Marvel or DC logo. Video games and their adaptations are also something he follows faithfully since he's a big fan of story-driven single-player games like Assassin's Creed, The Last of Us, Uncharted, etc. His favorite video game ever is Red Dead Redemption 2.
