Elden Ring is a game that’s full of different types of builds that can become stronger when you use skills and weapons that are in line with the specialty of that build. Those who are using bleeding builds are able to maximize their opponents’ blood loss to deal massive amounts of damage. And the Seppuku skill is one of the things that will make a bleeding build stronger. So, where do you find the Seppuku skill in Elden Ring?

You can acquire the Seppuku skill in Elden Ring in the frozen lake that you can find on the east side of the Freezing Lake Site of Grace in the Mountaintops of the Giants. The item will be held by an invisible Teardrop Scarab that you need to kill to acquire the Seppuku Ash of War.

Elden Ring players know for a fact that certain skills are great when it comes to certain builds. The Seppuku, when used in the best way possible, should be one of the most dangerous skills that a player can use. As such, if you want to build a great blood loss build, you might want to look at knowing how to acquire the Seppuku Ash of War.

Where To Get Seppuku Skill In Elden Ring?

In Elden Ring, it is important that you make sure that you use skills and weapons that are in line with your build. That’s because there are a lot of different builds that can depend on your chosen class and on what kind of character you want to be able to produce. This is where certain Ashes of War come in when it comes to creating a strong build.

One of the best builds that are great when it comes to those who start out as Bandits or Samurai is the bleeding build. This build allows the character to essentially continue to attack the opponent while accumulating blood loss to hemorrhage the enemy. Once hemorrhaged, the enemy will lose a chunk of its life, and that can be useful when it comes to the strongest bosses in Elden Ring.

Of course, when you’re building a great bleeding build, you should also get a great Ash of War that will complement your style through a good skill. One such skill we have in mind is the Seppuku. So, where do you find the Seppuku Ash of War?

Unlike some of the other strong Ashes of War in Elden Ring, the Seppuku is a skill that you can only acquire once you’ve already progressed through the game far enough. This means that you should wait for a while before you can get this Ash of War. And that also means that you should already be strong enough at this point of the game.

You should have already defeated Morgott for you to get to the area where the Seppuku is. This Ash of War can be found in the Mountaintops of the Giants, which you can access by going to the Grand Lift of Rold. You can get to this area by going through the area that you can get to right after defeating Morgott. Melina will give you the medallion that you will need to get to the eastern part of the Mountaintops of the Giants.

Once you’ve reached the eastern part of the mountaintops, all you need to do is to ride your horse all the way to the northeastern section of the map to get to the Freezing Lake Site of Grace. This should be the area where you will be the closest Site of Grace to where you will be able to find the Seppuku Ash of War.

How To Get Seppuku Skill?

The toughest part of getting the Seppuku Ash of War is to get to the Mountaintops of the Giants because you should have already progressed through the game far enough. However, as long as you’ve already defeated Morgott, you should be able to access the location of the Seppuku quite easily. Then there’s another tricky part.

Like the Hoarfrost Stomp, the Seppuku Ash of War can only be acquired by looking for the invisible Teardrop Scarab that will be roaming the area. That’s where it can get a bit tricky, but it should be quite easy.

From the Freezing Lake Site of Grace, head east to the frozen lake until you hear footsteps. That is when you will be in a position to find the invisible Teardrop Scarab. Try looking for the trail of its footsteps and then look to attack indiscriminately. It should be better if you have a skill that is capable of hitting a wide area or if your weapon has a long reach so that it will be easier for you to hit the invisible Teardrop Scarab.

After killing the Teardrop Scarab, you should be able to get the Seppuku Ash of War immediately. In that regard, it should be easy to acquire only if you already have access to the Mountaintops of the Giants. If you don’t, just progress through the game normally without rushing it because you might struggle in Leyndell or against Morgott.

What Can Seppuku Skill Be Used On?

Like all of the other Ashes of War, the Seppuku Ash of War can only be used on regular weapons that you didn’t acquire from bosses and Remembrances. You can tell if a weapon is a regular one when you only need to use regular Smithing Stones to upgrade them.

Another good thing about the Seppuku is that it works on all types of swords except for colossal swords. You can also use the Seppuku on polearms that are capable of thrusting. As such, it can be pretty versatile because it can be used on a wide variety of different weapons, especially those that are obviously going to be effective on Bandits and Samurais that tend to prefer bleed builds.

Is It The Best Ash Of War Skill In Elden Ring?

There are plenty of different Ashes of War in Elden Ring, and all of them have their own advantages and disadvantages. Moreover, they also have their own unique purposes in the sense that there are Ashes of Wars that grant skills that are great for certain types of builds and situations. This is why it is tough to say whether or not the Seppuku is the best Ash of War in Elden Ring.

That said, the Seppuku is indeed a great skill to use for those who are using bleeding builds that focus on Dexterity and Arcane. You can infuse this Ash of War in an Uchigatana or a Nagakiba and then dual-wield your weapons to maximize your capacity to bleed opponents out when using the Seppuku.

The reason why the Seppuku is as great as it is for those who are using bleeding builds is that it improves the weapon’s ability to increase blood loss. What the Seppuku does is that it decreases your health by a bit to infuse the weapon with your blood so that you can increase your attack power and make your weapon more capable of inflicting blood loss on an opponent.

So, while blood loss builds aren’t exactly the strongest in terms of pure damage, the Seppuku Ash of War can increase your damage and can also allow you to bleed bosses out really quickly. Blood loss is fixed damage that depends on your opponent’s HP. As such, not even the biggest and strongest opponents will be able to withstand the damage caused by blood loss weapons when you bleed these bosses out.
