Where To Find The Sealed Tunnel In Elden Ring? (& How To Get In)

Elden Ring has a lot of different areas that you can access and get to so that you can hunt different bosses and gain their items and weapons. On top of that, these places are also full of treasures and can even be gateways to other areas on the map. One such place is the Sealed Tunnel, which is the gateway to a very useful area in Elden Ring. So, where do you find the Sealed Tunnel, and how do you get in?

The Sealed Tunnel can be found just outside the south area Altus Plateau, just outside the southern area of the walls of Leyndell, Royal Capital. You can enter the Sealed Tunnel by hitting a wall that will reveal an invisible door. This will be the entrance to the Sealed Tunnel, which is full of illusory walls.

One of the things you need to know before you go to the Sealed Tunnel is that this is a place that’s full of illusory walls that you need to hit or roll through to reveal the next area. As such, it can be one of the trickiest dungeons in Elden Ring. But going through the Sealed Tunnel will be more than worth it, and that’s why we have to look at how to enter and get through this area.

Where To Find The Sealed Tunnel In Elden Ring?

One of the things that Elden Ring players know is the fact that this game is full of different optional areas and dungeons that you need to spot on your own so that you can enter them and challenge the bosses that you can find in them. And these areas and dungeons have different treasures that may be helpful to you in the long run.

Of course, there are also some areas that are actually gateways to other areas that are going to give you more treasures and items. One such area we are talking about is the Sealed Tunnel, which is going to be one of the places you may want to go to later in the game once you’ve advanced through Elden Ring far enough.

Obviously, you need to find the Sealed Tunnel first. Getting to the Sealed Tunnel requires that you already have access to the Altus Plateau, which can be found northeast of Liurnia of the Lakes. You can actually get to this area anytime, but it might be better to wait until you’ve finished the Raya Lucaria Academy or when you’re at least level 60 to 70 because the monsters in this area will be really tough. Moreover, you won’t be able to defeat the boss of the Sealed Tunnel if you’re not yet strong enough.

How To Get To The Sealed Tunnel Elden Ring?

To get to the Sealed Tunnel, you should enter the outer gates of Leyndell, Royal Capital, first. It should be very difficult to get through the main gate in the southern area of the Altus plateau. Instead, what you need to do is to use the gate on the northeastern side because that area won’t have a lot of guards. The tough part of using the south gate is the fact that there will be strong enemies here, such as a pair of Tree Sentinels.

Once you’ve entered the outer gates, what you need to do is to get all the way to the southern area just outside the inner gates of Leyndell. You will be able to find the Sealed Tunnel there, and it won’t be difficult to find. Just make sure you avoid any of the strong opponents on the way to that part of the map because even the inside of the outer gates of Leyndell has very tough opponents.

How To Get In The Sealed Tunnel?

Once you’re already outside the Sealed Tunnel, the tricky part here is to find the door. You should be able to break the door that’s protecting the entrance of the tunnel by attacking it. Of course, what you also need to know is that the Sealed Tunnel is full of illusory walls that you need to attack or roll through to reveal the next area. This is one of the trickiest dungeons in the entire game.

The first illusory wall can be found just in the first area of the Sealed Tunnel. You can find the wall on the right side, just behind a chest. From there, take the elevator that will take you deeper into the tunnel. There will be a tree branch that you will need to cross to reach the next illusory wall.

From there, you need to get through the massive tree branch that you can cross. There will be smaller branches that you can step on found on the left side of the area below the bigger tree branch. There will be a staircase that will be blocked by some tree branches.

After that, drop down from where you are and then go right to move forward deeper into the tunnel. There will be a cliff and a few branches at the end of the room. Obviously, what you need to do is to use the tree branches to get to the bottom of that cliff. You will be able to find the boss’s doorway there.

The boss of the Sealed Tunnel is the Onyx Lord, which can be a tough fight if you are under-leveled when you get to this area. However, he won’t be too much of a problem if you are at least level 90 in this fight. Using the Mimic Tear Spirit Ash will make this fight a lot easier because the Mimic Tear will act as a distraction so that you can unleash deadly combos and attacks on the Onyx Lord.

Defeating the Onyx Lord will reward you the Onyx Lord’s Greatsword, which may be a useful weapon for those who prefer to use Strength and Int builds in the game. Defeating him will allow you to portal your way back to the entrance of the Sealed Tunnel.

What To Do In The Sealed Tunnel?

Of course, the most obvious thing to do in the Sealed Tunnel is to defeat the boss to obtain some runes and to get his weapon. However, what you should also do in the sealed tunnel is to collect some amazing items.

Like most mines and items, this place will be full of Smithing Stones and Somber Smithing Stones that will allow you to upgrade your weapon. But the cream of the crop is the Smithing-Stone Miner’s Bell Bearing (2), which will allow you to purchase unlimited Smithing Stones in the Roundtable Hold. There will also be a Stonesword Key and a Gold-Pickled Fowl Foot in this area.

After defeating the Onyx Lord, what you should do is to proceed through the archway in the rear of the room to exit the Sealed Tunnel and to get to the Divine Tower of West Altus. If you’ve defeated Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy, you’ll be able to restore his Great Rune here.
