The author based the theory on the fact that Kaido and Big Mom were close to each other, that Katakuri is physically imposing like Kaido, and that he has those animal-like scars on his face. But this theory is utter nonsense. Not only does this mean that Kaido was either Big Mom’s husband or lover (which would also mean that he is the father of Daifuku and Oven), which would be unusual for Oda, as One Piece has never been a soap opera, but also that the official information we have is incorrect.

Namely, we know that Katakuri’s scars are his own doing and that he was not born with them. We also know that Kaido is not the only physically imposing character that Big Mom was in contact with, and we know that Kaido already has a child, Yamato, who looks nothing like him. This theory doesn’t account for the other triplets looking anything like Kaido, and we also have to confirm that even the theory’s author stated that he had no clue how to answer some discrepancies related to his theory. So no, Kaido is not Katakuri’s son and any theory that states so is nonsense unless Oda drastically changes his story.
