  • Article Breakdown:
  • After fighting Yuji and Todo, Mahito was finally down, and Yuji was approaching to kill him when Pseudo-Geto appeared, interrupted the fight, and offered to help Mahito.
  • Mahito was not happy with this offer, but Yuji soon attacked Pseudo-Geto, which postponed Mahito’s fate for some time until Pseudo-Geto was able to defeat Yuji using Geto’s original technique.
  • Soon after, Mahito tried to attack Pseudo-Geto, knowing what the latter planned to do, but he failed, and Pseudo-Geto soon used Geto’s original technique to absorb Mahito into his collection of curses.

Mahito was finally defeated by Yuji, after which Pseudo-Geto offered his help

We know and have told the story of how the fight between Yuji and Mahito began, so this is going to be just a quick recap: Yuji witnessed Mahito kill Nanami in front of him, after which he engaged him in a bitter fight, at the same time, Nobara was fighting Mahito’s clone and managed to hurt him; after realizing that Nobara can do damage, Mahito summoned his clone back, but he then tricked Yuji and was able to touch Nobara’s face, seemingly killing her; Yuji was then broken, but Aoi Todo’s timely intervention saved him and after regaining his will to fight, he rejoined the fight together with Todo.

Yuji quickly appeared before Mahito and unleashed a Black Flash as he rose to fight again. As they continue the fight, Mahito finally forces his opponents out of the station and onto the surface. He then turns to face Sukuna’s vessel and pulls Aoi away from him, hoping to finish it off in a one-on-one fight. Unfortunately for the cursed spirit, Aoi easily takes down Mahito’s new creations and quickly rejoins Yuji in the fight. Cornered, at one point, Mahito decides to use the 0.2-second Domain Expansion. Though he was able to touch and cut off Aoi’s hand, his attempt at winning was ultimately unsuccessful.

Soon, Mahito was able to discover his true essence and, with an improved technique, tried to win, but even after discovering his soul’s true nature, Mahito could not prevail; Yuji defeated him and was ready to kill him when a strange occurrence happened. Namely, when Yuji reveals to Mahito that even if they are the same, he will still try to kill him, Mahito tries to flee but runs into Pseudo-Geto, who offers to assist him.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Here Is What Yuji Itadori Said to Mahito! (& Why!)

Mahito knew what Pseudo-Geto’s “help” meant, so he attacked him in an attempt to save himself

Now, this was a very important moment. It should’ve been a clear benefit for Mahito as his ally arrived to help him, but it did not turn out to be like that. Although Yuji soon interrupted the moment, it was evident that Mahito did not want Pseudo-Geto’s help. Initially, we did not know why, as Pseudo-Geto had to face Yuji, who wanted to take the Prison Realm from the evil jujutsu sorcerer, but this fight did not last long, as Yuji was no match for the sorcerer.

After bringing Yuji down, Pseudo-Geto was suddenly attacked by Mahito from the back; the cursed spirit wanted to touch him and transfigure him using his Innate Technique, but Pseudo-Geto swiftly avoided the attempt and blocked Mahito’s attempt. It was a strange moment, as we did not know why Mahito would attack his ally, but it soon became apparent that Mahito did not want Pseudo-Geto’s “help” because he knew that that “help” way.

Moments later, Pseudo-Geto activated Geto’s original Innate Technique and started to transform the screaming Mahito – who was trying to get away – into an orb he would eventually swallow. Mahito knew this would happen – he knew Pseudo-Geto would kill him by absorbing him, and he wanted to avoid that at all costs because he did not want to die. He ultimately failed and his orb was swallowed by Pseudo-Geto, but we have explained what happened.
