Rahul Kohli Reveals His Dream Villain Role in the DCU!
Gunn and Safran’s DCU recently launched its first project, ‘Creature Commandos.’ The animated series premiered with two episodes and has already been renewed for a second season, likely due to its overwhelmingly positive reception.
Now, anticipation is building for the next release: the live-action ‘Superman,’ starring David Corenswet as Clark Kent, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor.
Gunn has previously discussed the movie’s main villain, confirming that Lex Luthor will take center stage as the villain. There are also rumors and leaks suggesting that Ultraman could appear as another danger that Superman will have to face.
This will mark a significant shift from the DCEU, where General Zod was the first major Superman villain. Zod, one of DC’s most iconic antagonists, appeared in both ‘Man of Steel’ and ‘The Flash.’ However, it’s important to note that the version of Zod in ‘The Flash’ was played by Michael Shannon but was technically a variant of the original character.
If Gunn ever chooses to revisit the villain, Rahul Kohli recently expressed his interest in playing Zod in the newly established DCU.

Rahul Kohli is known for his roles in ‘iZombie,’ where he played the charming but quirky Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti, and ‘The Haunting of Bly Manor,’ where he portrayed the tragic character Owen.
The actor recently revealed that he was in the running for the role of Reed Richards but ultimately lost it to ‘The Last of Us’ star Pedro Pascal. He shared mixed feelings, acknowledging his disappointment but also seeing it as a reminder of the competitive nature of the industry.
However, some fans misunderstood his comments, thinking he was upset with Pedro for getting the role, which led to some backlash. It’s also important to mention that Kohli was one of the most fan-cast actors for the role of Mr. Fantastic alongside Krasinsky who eventually showed up in the role for a cameo in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.’
