The New ‘Meet the Parents’ Sequel Comes with the Most Hilarious and Eye-Catching Title Yet
The beloved Meet the Parents franchise is coming back with a brand new sequel, and fans got their first official look at the title today. The next film is called Focker-in-Law and it’s set to hit theaters on November 25, 2026.
The movie will bring back a star-studded cast including Ariana Grande, Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Blythe Danner, Teri Polo, and Beanie Feldstein. It’s the first new installment in the series since 2010’s Little Fockers. The last sequel before that, Meet the Fockers, came out back in 2004.
Ben Stiller talked about the new movie during a special screening celebrating the 25th anniversary of Meet the Parents at the Tribeca Film Festival. He explained that the idea for the fourth movie came naturally. “What spurred the idea is that I’m the age that Bob was when we did the first movie,” Stiller said to the audience. “It felt like a mirror to the first film, where one of my kids is thinking about introducing his person to the family.” This means the new movie will explore fresh family dynamics, much like the original did years ago.
Robert De Niro, who co-founded the Tribeca Film Festival, was also present at the event and confirmed he’s read the script. While he didn’t share plot details, he described the screenplay as “really fun.” De Niro added, “I’m looking forward to it,” showing his excitement to return to this beloved role.
John Hamburg, who co-wrote the original trilogy, is back for this new movie as both the screenwriter and director. His return signals fans can expect the same kind of humor and heart that made the series so popular.
The new title, Focker-in-Law, is a playful twist that continues the franchise’s tradition of mixing family chaos with comedy. While the name might make some laugh or raise eyebrows, it perfectly fits the lighthearted spirit of the series.
Fans will have to wait a bit longer to see how this new chapter unfolds, but with the original cast returning and new faces joining, expectations are high. Focker-in-Law is scheduled for a November 25, 2026 release, giving plenty of time to get ready for another round of laughs and family drama.
