‘Marshals’ Season 2 Episode 3 Release Date, Time, Where to Watch and Preview
The next episode of ‘Marshals’ is only days away, and it arrives with a fresh case for the Yellowstone spinoff’s federal lawmen. The third hour of the new season is titled “Falling Sky” and is scheduled for Sunday, October 18, on CBS. The series continues the story of Kayce Dutton after his time at the Yellowstone Ranch.
The show has built a sizable audience since its debut. Its March premiere drew more than 20 million multiplatform viewers, which was the biggest number for a CBS Original without an NFL lead-in since 2017. Here is what viewers need to know about the next episode of ‘Marshals’ before it airs.
‘Marshals’ Release Date and Episode Title
The second season began on October 4 with “All Hat No Cattle.” “End of Watch” followed on October 11, and the next installment lands one week after that on October 18. That keeps the series on a steady weekly rhythm.
The official title for the upcoming hour is “Falling Sky.” Wikipedia’s episode table lists the director and writer as still to be announced. The credits may be confirmed closer to broadcast.
One streaming guide lists weekly premieres continuing through November 22. Another guide notes that CBS has not yet published the complete episode order and schedule. Viewers should treat the later dates as provisional until the network confirms them.
Air Time on CBS for the New Episode
The episode airs on Sunday, October 18, from half past eight to half past nine in the evening Eastern and Pacific time. That is a small change from the usual routine. The regular time slot for the season has been 8/7c.
The previous episode aired at 8 p.m. Eastern and Pacific. Anyone who records the show on a DVR should check that the timer reflects the later start. A half hour is enough to cut off the ending of a tense hour.
Outside the United States, the episode is listed for October 19 in the UK. Release timing abroad depends on the local Paramount+ schedule, so international viewers should confirm the exact arrival in their own region.
Where to Watch on CBS and Paramount+
The most direct route is a live broadcast through a local CBS station. Paramount+ Premium subscribers can stream the episode live and on demand, while Essential subscribers can watch on demand the day after it airs. That means the plan a viewer chooses decides how soon they can see it.
International audiences also have a path. Reelgood’s regional guides say the second season is available on Paramount+ in Australia, the UK and Canada, with the season starting October 5. The same guide says a free trial of Paramount+ is one way to watch without paying up front.
Newcomers can catch up before the next hour. All of the first season is on Paramount+. That first season ran for thirteen episodes.
Preview of ‘Falling Sky’
The official synopsis says the Marshals are sent to track three Broken Rock residents accused of shooting down a military test drone. Tensions rise between federal authorities and tribal leadership after the crash takes the life of a Broken Rock member. The case puts the team in a delicate position between two communities.
The personal story runs alongside it. Kayce worries about his son Tate’s mental state and looks for new ways to connect with him. The premiere ended with Kayce bringing Tate home after men working for Tom Weaver abducted him.
Showrunner Spencer Hudnut has said Kayce fears that Tate will try to follow in his footsteps, which creates tension between father and son this season. Hudnut also said the choice Tate makes will surprise many viewers. That suggests the drone case will share the hour with a quieter conflict at home.
The promo for the previous episode included a moment where Tate tells his father it is sometimes okay not to be fine. If ‘Falling Sky’ keeps building on that exchange, do you think Kayce can reach Tate before another dangerous assignment pulls them apart, and how well do you think the series is balancing a marshal’s duty with a father’s instincts in the comments?
