‘Christy’ Star Sydney Sweeney Brings Back Her Blonde Waves for a Night Out at NYC’s Viral Corner Store
Sydney Sweeney has been all over the place lately, at least in her looks. Days after surprising fans with a brunette wig during an incognito trip to the Santa Monica Pier, the ‘Euphoria’ star was back to her signature blonde hair for a night out in New York City.
Her choice of restaurant was one of Manhattan’s hardest tables to book. Sweeney has been splitting her time between both coasts this fall, and this latest sighting put her at one of SoHo’s most-talked-about spots.
On October 14, Sweeney was photographed leaving The Corner Store in New York City, in images shared by HQCelebCorner. She walked out into the evening with her long golden waves loose and fresh bangs framing her face, finished with a pair of small dark sunglasses.
Her outfit had a vintage, preppy look. She wore a slate-blue button-front cardigan with a crisp white collar, brown shorts, sheer black tights, and knee-high dark brown leather boots, with a structured black handbag. A companion beside her carried one of the restaurant’s signature green-and-white takeaway bags.
The Corner Store has become a celebrity favorite. The restaurant occupies a 5-story building at the corner of West Broadway and Houston Street in SoHo, and Taylor Swift has been among its famous diners.
Getting in isn’t easy. Reservations open 2 weeks ahead through Resy; waiting lists can stretch to about a month, and walk-ins aren’t accepted. The menu includes Five Cheese Pizza Rolls with honey, a Wagyu French Dip, Roasted Maine Lobster Frites, and unusual martinis such as Sour Cream & Onion.

The restaurant comes from Eugene Remm and Catch Hospitality Group, the team behind the Catch restaurants, alongside Tilman Fertitta. Its popularity has carried it beyond New York. A Las Vegas location is set to open at the Cosmopolitan on November 9. It will take over the former Blue Ribbon American Grill & Oyster Bar space on the resort’s 3rd floor.
The New York sighting comes right after Sweeney’s playful Santa Monica outing. That day, her best friend Jayde Hafner talked her into a brunette wig, and Sweeney shared a carousel of photos and videos showing the pair on rides, playing arcade games and eating fried food at Pacific Park.
Fans loved the brunette look, but the blonde waves and bangs she wore in Manhattan are closer to the style she’s best known for. Together, the 2 outings show how easily she switches between laid-back days off and polished city nights.
Sweeney’s schedule is full right now. She is starring in ‘The Housemaid’s Secret’, Paul Feig’s sequel to ‘The Housemaid’, as Millie Calloway, alongside Kirsten Dunst, Michele Morrone, Paul Anthony Kelly and Brittany Snow. The film is set to open in theaters on December 17, 2027.
She’s also set to start filming ‘Hollow’ in February, playing Katrina Van Tassel opposite Belmont Cameli. ‘Gundam’ and ‘Custom of the Country’ are also among her upcoming projects.
Sweeney has also been in the news for reasons beyond her films. Her recent Novig betting-exchange ad drew criticism, including from several female athletes, and became a hot topic online.
Through it all, she has kept a steady presence in public. Her stops at New York’s popular restaurants keep paparazzi busy, and her outfits continue to get plenty of attention from fashion fans.
Sweeney’s Corner Store outfit fits the season well, with warm earth tones, cozy layers, and a vintage feel. The cardigan, tights, and tall boots made the outing look effortless even on a busy SoHo night. Whether she’s in disguise on a California pier or dressed up in Manhattan, she continues to make her off-duty looks part of the conversation.
Which Sydney Sweeney look do you prefer: her brunette disguise or her signature blonde waves?
