‘Agatha All Along’ Episode 7 Hints the MCU Is Paving the Way for the “Children’s Crusade” Storyline

‘Agatha All Along’ is the latest show in the MCU. It follows Agatha Harkness as she escapes her magical prison and travels down the Witches’ Road to get her powers back.
The show also explores a new side of the MCU and introduces Billy Kaplan, also known as Billy Maximoff or Wiccan, the reincarnated son of Scarlet Witch.

In Episode 5, it’s confirmed that Billy is really Wanda’s son. Then, in Episode 6, we learn that Billy is searching for Agatha to help him walk the Witches’ Road so he can find his brother, Tommy, who disappeared when Wanda came to terms with her grief.

In Episode 7, Agatha couldn’t give Billy a clear answer about whether Wanda is alive. She kept saying yes, no, and maybe. This hints that Wanda will return.

For a few months, there have been rumors that the MCU is working on a project about the Children’s Crusade storyline.

In ‘The Children’s Crusade,’ the Young Avengers, especially Wiccan, go on a quest to find and confront the Scarlet Witch. The Scarlet Witch caused big problems with her reality-warping powers, and her actions in the ‘Avengers Disassembled’ and ‘House of M’ stories had major effects on the Marvel Universe.

I think that ‘House of M’ and ‘Avengers Disassembled’ could be replaced with themes about the multiverse. The Young Avengers are already part of the MCU, with Kamala Khan starting the group and several members already introduced.

It would be a missed opportunity if the rumored ‘Young Avengers’ project didn’t explore Wiccan’s and Speed’s feelings about their mother, who is dead.

In this context, ‘The Children’s Crusade’ might just mention that the Scarlet Witch needs to be brought back to help fight Doom or another big threat. We know Billy is searching for his brother, and the upcoming ‘Vision’ show will bring back White Vision. It’s possible that Billy will also start looking for his mother with the help of the Young Avengers.

‘The Children’s Crusade’ connects well with Doom’s introduction, too. In the story, Doom helps Wanda regain her memories and powers, and there are hints that he has a manipulative interest in her.

At one point, it’s revealed that Wanda and Doom are working together, and he claims to have feelings for her. However, his feelings are more about his own ambitions and desire for power than a real, healthy romance.

They form a short alliance, and Doom uses Wanda’s powers to try to gain control of great magical energy. This leads to disastrous results as Doom’s quest for power causes even more chaos.
