19. Pokemon Series
The storyline of this series is set on a unique planet populated by odd animals known as Pokemon. These animals come in a wide range of skills and appearances. There is a boy named Ash, who aspires to be a “Pokemon Master” and a Pokemon trainer.

However, after Ash Pokemon’s attempted kidnap, Ash successfully makes it to the top 16s and wins some badges from the gym.
18. Toriko
This series is an intriguing one; in this movie, the operational model of things is strange. You will see unusual things such as ice-cream mountains and also things like burgers growing out of the ground.
More so, the planet in the movie is characterized by extraordinary hunters. These hunters seek uncommon ingredients and are known as “Gourmet Hunters.”
That being said, Toriko is the protagonist of the story, and above all, he is also a Gourmet Hunter noted for gathering only 2% of known ingredients. However, he uses the ingredients he successfully gathers to create his full-course meal.
It is noteworthy to mention that it has great fight scenes, which is a goodie for action lovers and a little bit of cuisine.
17. Inazuma Eleven
If you’re conversant with soccer, you then should understand what ‘Eleven’ means. This series revolves around Enduro Mamoru, who is an extremely talented goalkeeper. To cap it up, he comes from a line of great soccer stars. However, the pressure for him to keep the glory of his family drives him to do a lot of things.
A while back, his grandfather was one of the strongest goalkeepers in the history of Japan.
But, unfortunately, his team seems uninterested in football; as it were, even the few available players are lazy.
Enduro, notwithstanding, sets out to recruit new football players to return glory to his original club. Consequently, his hard work pays off as he and his team emerge as the winners of the biggest football tournament.
Although several people underrate this anime, I’ve watched it numerous times because of my love for it.
16. Fairy Tail
Anytime you hear the word ‘Fairy,’ what comes to mind is magic, this anime is not an exception. The movie starts with Lucy Heartfilia, a teenage magician who is on a journey to obtain celestial gate keys.
Consequently, she joins a renowned wizard guild. However, she is kidnapped and saved on the first day of the adventure. Notwithstanding, she eventually joins Fairy Tail, where she meets a succession of eccentric characters.
In the same way, it is an outstanding anime series that I would recommend for you. Although interesting, it is not about magic alone, all the characters are quite humorous as well. So this anime is worth those minutes and hours of yours. You’ll be glad you watched it.
15. Bleach
Can you imagine yourself with the extraordinary ability to see visions? Now, also imagine yourself born with the ability to see visions, isn’t that crazy?.
Ichigo Kurosaki is just a normal human being, but he can see ghosts. Furthermore, not to burst your bubble, but he was born with the ability. I figure you’re smiling by now.
Contrarily, Ichigo’s family was attacked by a hollow. Consequently, that incident transforms him to dedicate his life to protecting innocent souls and helping tortured spirits find solace. Therefore, I recommend this series for you, although you might not find it interesting at first glance because of the fillers.
14. InuYasha
The story in this anime starts with Kagome Higurashi, a regular 15-year-old girl who is pulled into a well in her family’s Shinto shrine by some demons.

She is now mandated to restore it with Inuyasha’s help before it falls into evil hands. Summarily, the series is more of a ‘Hunger Games’ kind of genre.
Some of the breathtaking characteristics of this anime include the soundtrack and detailed development of the characters. I strongly recommend this classic to you.
13. The Prince of Tennis
Back in the day, I would go to the sports complex and watch two individuals yell as they attempted to return the tennis ball to the other half of the court. Similarly, this series revolves around tennis players and tennis competitions.
The protagonist of the movie, Ryouma Echizen, learned the ropes from his father, and even more, he became more potent than his father. Additionally, he attends a school that is well known for its proficient tennis players.

12. City Hunter Series
This movie centers around a group that calls themselves City Hunters. This group prides itself on the ability to capture or make scums leave the streets of Japan.
No doubt it is one of the best anime out there. It has a balanced mixture of action, humor, and drama. In addition, it is an entertaining series.
Ryo Saeba is more or less the protagonist in the movie; however, he has a character default of chasing beautiful ladies. Notwithstanding, the series portrays his good relationship with his partner, Hideyuki Makimura, who later dies, and Ryo is mandated to take care of her sister.
Summarily, the show does great by portraying romance between the two major characters and how they cooperate during missions.

And as fate would have it, each of the boys desires to be the Magic Emperor. Further, Asta’s desire to be king is crippled by his lack of ability to perform magic, so he focuses on building his physical strength. Isn’t that sad?
Anyway, I invite you to flow along with Yuno and Asta as they meet new people and confront scary enemies. I guess you’re wondering whether Yuno has magic performing abilities; I’d leave you to find that out by watching the movie.
10. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure
If you’re a lover of adventure, this is the anime for you. The name “Jojo” is coined from the family’s name, “Joestar.” Further, the family members realize that they have supernatural powers and must use them to fight foes.
The producers of the movie do well by breaking it into separate parts. Furthermore, each part of the movie gives us a chronicled description of every single member of the cursed JoJo family.
You know how you can single out a particular group member and shed light on him, then do the same for another. So, by the scientific method, I think this is one of the best series I’ve watched.
9. D. Gray-Man
Losing a loved one is always a terrible experience. However, is it worth it to resurrect someone from the grave knowing fully well the grave consequences involved?
Millennium Earl takes advantage of this by encasing people’s souls in mechanical weapons known as Akuma. However, the only way to banish the demon is to use weapons known as Innocence. Thus, Allen Walker and his companions must now release these souls.
Additionally, there’s a balance of romance and action in the series. It’s a classic that I recommend you to see this weekend.
8. Dragon Ball Z
Dragon Ball is one of the most popular anime out there, and this was the first anime I watched that ignited my interest in the genre. Notwithstanding, the movie’s plot centers on Goku, who emerges as the winner of the world martial art tournament.
However, Goku, who lives a quiet life with his family as most men would love to, gets a visit from his brother. At this point, his brother brings him to par with his heritage and ancestry, and Goku realizes who he truly is.
Further, he understands the magnitude of impending danger, and he has to be ready when it comes.
The producers do a good job introducing a strong villain, which keeps you at the edge of your seat.
7. Fullmetal Alchemist
The setting of Fullmetal Alchemist dates as far back as the 20th century. Alchemy is simply the act of transforming or changing simple metals into gold. Thus, the movie follows suit by unveiling two brothers, Edward and Alphonse, who seek the philosopher’s stone after failing to resurrect their mother.
It’s noteworthy to mention that after failing to bring their mother back from the dead, they lost their bodies, and that’s why they are after the philosopher’s stone. However, Edward successfully restores his brother’s body at the expense of his magical ability, which he used as a tool.
Notwithstanding, the knowledge he has about Alchemy doesn’t leave with his magical powers. As you’d opine, he becomes a bank of alchemy knowledge. I strongly recommend this to you.
6. Detective Conan Series
Once more, I was hoping you could close your eyes and imagine being turned into a teenager. Not just that, but after being turned, you retain your current mental development.
Similarly, 17year old Conan, a master detective, gets turned into a 7-year old after being drugged by a criminal organization. Conan’s relationship revolves around a friend who is a master in Karate and his father, a crazy driver.
However, Conan is mandated to conceal his true identity and mental development; you can imagine how difficult that can be. Anyway, the master detective, now a teenager, continues to solve cases as his old self.
It is a classic.

If you’re an avid fan of comedy and action, this movie is for you. Hitman reborn is an infant who is a professional hitman. However, he is required to teach this skill to the heir of a powerful family.

Summarily, there’s a balance between romance and action in the movie.
4. Monogatari Series
The plot of this movie revolves around Koyomi Araragi, who, after being bitten by vampires, decides to assist people. The range of people he offers help rank from girls being tormented by deities and spirits to those with emotional and mental issues.
Before now, Koyomi became a vampire for a short time during spring break. But as a result of the bite, he makes desperate efforts to restore his humanity.
Furthermore, he discovers unusual strength in him when he catches a classmate who falls from a flight of steps contrary to the laws of physics. That single act brings to his understanding the unusual strength he now possesses.
Also, If you are a lover of vampire diaries, this is a classic anime I recommend to you.
3. Yuu Yuu Hakusho
Please permit me to introduce Yuusuke Urameshi to you. He is a 14-year-old delinquent who puts his life on the line to save a youngster from a tragic accident. Who would do that? Nobody, I guess.
However, Yuusuke’s life takes a change when Koenma offers him the chance to reclaim his previous life.
However, he must fulfill a series of duties and thus begins his journey on Earth as a Spirit Detective. His duty as a spirit detective is to investigate cases that involve demons in the human world.
Also, it’s worth mentioning the action-packed scenes in the anime for the sake of action lovers. Thus, I strongly recommend this movie to you.
2. Gintama
Gintoki, who is the protagonist of the movie, is a skilled swordsman. This story begins when Japan was invaded by aliens called Amanto; the invaders quickly established a law prohibiting swords. Now, think about a Samurai ordered to stop the usage of his sword; how worse can that get?
Gintoki’s practice of freelance together with his friend helped him rescue a girl from the invaders. Subsequently, the girl’s brother, Shinpachi, gets impressed by the art and creates an alliance with Gintoki.
Moreso, the anime is packed full of action scenes. So you’ll get to enjoy the balance of watching the good guys try to wade off the bad guys.
1. Hunter X Hunter
Just as the name implies, ‘Hunters’ exist in this world to do any task, from simple treasure hunting to capturing dangerous criminals.
The storyline of Hunter x Hunter focuses more on 12-year-old Gon Freecss, who aspires to be a top-tier hunter to find his long-lost father. However, he must pass the Hunter Exam and survive deadly scenarios to do so.
Several honors are awarded to hunters, such as accomplishing tasks in a particular field. Furthermore, when a hunter successfully mentors another wannabe and accomplishes tasks in several fields, he’s awarded two more stars.
In addition, the hunters have special abilities with which they use to execute some of these tasks. Summarily, the movie is about masters grooming the young ones who desire to be what they are.
