Disney Characters that Start with M: All 47 Names

There are so many Disney characters we grew up with and we don’t want to forget their adventures and personalities. From villains to heroes, rebellious and bold types to cowards and criminals, all of them made a great part of our childhoods. One of the best ways to remember them is to make a list of them by the first letter of their names. This is the list of Disney characters that start with m.

Machiavelli (Luca)

Machiavelli is Giulia and Massimo’s crazed cat and one of the first to know about Luca and Alberto’s sea monster identity. He has black fur on the back of his body, his ears and his left paw and the rest is white. He has a black muzzle that is similar to Massimo’s moustache.

Mack (Cars)

Mack is a loyal truck and McQueen’s only true friend before he finds new ones in Radiator Springs. He is a truck that never stops, often driving through the night, but he never gets kudos for anything.

Mad Hatter (Alice in Wonderland)

One of the quirkiest characters in this story, Mad Hatter is trapped in a neverending tea party together with his friend, the March Hare. He is an unusual character, who often speaks in rhymes and is also sometimes difficult to understand.

Madam Mim (The Sword in the Stone)

Madam Mim is the main antagonist, a wicked, old witch who believes to be the greatest wizard of all time and enjoys seeing others in misery. She is Merlin’s old rival, arrogant, sadistic, evil and traitorous. She has lots of skills, such as dark magic, shapeshifting, flight, teleportation and many more.

Madame Adelaide Bonfamille (The Aristocats)

Madame Bonfamille is the owner of Duchess and her three kittens, a wealthy elderly woman who used to be an opera singer. She is tall and slender with long, silvery hair, kind and generous and can be vain at times. She is unfortunately too trusting of others, which ends in problems with her cats.

Madame Medusa (The Rescuers)

Madame Medusa is the owner of a seedy pawn shop in New York City, an unattractive woman with sagging breasts, too much make-up and wild fiery red hair. She is greedy, obsessed with diamonds and ruthless in her goals, but has also an interesting fear, being extremely scared of mice. 

Maddy McGear (Cars 3)

Maddy is a small, young car and one of Lightning McQueen’s biggest fans. She attends their races and always shouts words of support. She might be small but has a big heart and when she meets Carl Ramirez, she takes a special place in it and now she has two favourite racers to cheer for.

Maggie (Home on the Range)

Maggie is one of Pearl’s cows and Mrs Calloways’ lieutenant Farmer. She is the narrator at the beginning of the movie where she explains why one of her and her friends’ goals is to get revenge on Alameda Slim. She is eccentric, can be aggressive and vain, but cares for her loved ones dearly. 

Magic Mirror (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs)

Inside the magic mirror lives an imprisoned, slave trapped inside who always tells the truth, usually in the form of a verse. It is in the hands of the Evil Queen who uses it to ensure that she is and remains the most beautiful woman in the land.

Maid Marian (Robin Hood)

Marian is a vixen and Robin Hood’s love interest and later wife. She is beautiful, tall and slender, has brown eyes, Scarlett fur and a cream muzzle. She is a real lady, elegant, caring and kind and shows great affection towards children.

Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty)

Maleficent is a malevolent fairy, an extremely evil woman who is in charge of all the misfortune in King Stefan’s kingdom.

She is tall and slender, always surrounded with dark shades, wearing black and never smiling, except when she knows she’s done something harmful. 

Mama Coco (Coco)

Mama Coco is Miguel’s great-grandmother, a caring and loving old woman. She is a supportive grandmother who, even though she doesn’t speak, communicates with her eyes and smile and becomes one of the most important characters at the end of the movie.

Mama Gunda (Tarzan 2)

Mama Gunda is one of the antagonists in the movie, Uto and Kago’s mother and boss and Zugor’s mate. She is short and big, short-tempered and always yells at her sons when they fight, scolding them. But she is not always so nervous, especially when Zugor compliments her.

Mama Odie (The Princess and the Frog)

Mama Odie is a blind, 197-year-old voodoo priestess who lives in the Louisiana swamps. She is short, with dark, wrinkly skin, and wears a white dress and turban, black sunglasses and a lot of gold jewellery. She is talkative and can get easily distracted, but is also a loving and caring person.

Mama Runt (Chicken Little)

Mama Runt is a stern mother who looks just like Runt but is much bigger. She has brown hair and a green bow in it. She can be seen wearing blue eye mascara and red lipstick. Her greatest threat to Runt is when she tells him not to make her take his Barbra Streisand collection.

Manny (A Bug’s Life)

Manny is a praying mantis with a British accent who works as a magician for the P.T. Flea’s circus troupe. He is kind and courteous to other insects, at first being a bit rude to Flik but he starts to like him by the end of the movie. He also dislikes being mocked and always gets angry when he finds himself in this kind of situation.

Marahute (The Rescuers Down Under)

Marahute is a giant golden eagle, wise, kind and gentle and extremely loyal to the ones who are loyal to her. She is protective of her eggs and shows sadness when asked about their father. She has a great sense of humour and loves Cody, always being grateful to him for saving her.

March Hare (Alice in Wonderland)

Mad Hatter’s best friend and another wacky character in this interesting story, March Hare is also convinced that he has to be a member of a never-ending tea party. He is mad, talks a lot and is often misunderstood, and is even madder than the Hatter himself, being more rude, loud and energetic than him. 

Marge (Monsters Inc.)

Marge is one of the Scare Assistants who is a regular in Monsters Inc. and has just returned to work after a spell on jury service. She is one of the few females working on the scare floor. She is a starfish-like monster with two tentacles and pink skin.

Mariano (Encanto)

Mariano Guzman is Isabella’s handsome fiancee, a young Colombian man with black hair and dark brown eyes. He is a real gentleman, kind and takes care of his family and is always polite to others. He is a big romantic and even writes poetry every night before he goes to sleep.

Marie (The Aristocats)

Marie is the only Duchess’ female child, an adorable white furred kitten, the older sister of Berlioz and the younger sister of Toulouse. She sees herself as a little lady and often mimics her mothers gestures and elegance. She is classy and can sometimes be a bit spoiled. She is always wearing a big pink bow around her neck, and a small one on the fur of her head. 

Mario Andretti (Cars)

Mario is a  1967 Ford Fairlane and a racing legend, based on, named and voiced by the real Mario Andretti, a retired NASCAR and Formula One driver.

Marlin (Finding Nemo/Finding Dory)

Marlin is one of the main characters in this beautiful heartwarming cartoon, a clownfish and Nemo’s father who goes on a search for his missing son. He is a worrying, neurotic and scared fish, often overprotective of Nemo.

He changed when he lost his wife Coral, being a lot happier and more cheerful when she was alive.

Marlon (The Princess and the Frog)

Marlon is a sadistic and dangerous alligator who lives in the Louisiana Bayou. He is a predator whose goals are to eat Tiana and Princess Naveen alive. His hobby is hunting and he is a good swimmer who can leap high and has sharp teeth.

Marshmallow (Frozen)

Marshmallow is a giant snow monster created by Elza to scare Anna and Kristoff from her ice palace. He is extremely strong and can augment his appearance depending on his temperament. He has a short temper, is very loyal to Elsa and extremely gentle and kind to her.

Mary Darling (Peter Pan)

Mary is Wendy, John and Michael’s mother, a beautiful, kind and understanding wife and a loving mother. She believed in Peter Pan’s spirit, reluctant to believe in him completely, but managed to do it by the end of the movie. She is pretty calm and always tries to keep the peace in the house.

Mater (Cars)

Mater is one of the most lovable characters not only in this cartoon but in general. He is a rusty old tow truck, with a thick rural Southern accent and he becomes McQueen’s best friend. He is very optimistic, has a big heart and is always ready to help. Sometimes he can be forgetful and get scared easily and is one of the sweetest characters ever.

Maui (Moana)

Maui is a Demigod for a South Pacific legend, with a muscular build, sometimes a bit vain and full of himself. He is a clever trickster, mischievous and ready for adventure. He is brave and likes to boast about his endeavours and accomplishments. 

Moana (Moana)

Moana is a young girl who dreams of far places since she feels a great connection to the sea and voyages. She is 16 years old, slender and muscular, with long dark brown hair and brown eyes. She is headstrong and stubborn, wants to know more than she is allowed to and soon finds herself in an adventure larger than anything in her life.

Maudie (Brave)

Maudie is Harris. Hubert and Hamish’s nursemaid with green eyes whose role is to keep princess Merida safe and under control. Her role in the movies is not big, but it’s pretty significant due to her occupation and responsibility for some of the main characters in it.

Maurice (Beauty and the Beast)

Maurice is a good-hearted widower, Belle’s father and an inventor who lives in a picturesque French village. He is short, overweight and bald, with white hair and a big moustache. He is known as “crazy old Maurice” since he is a pretty unconventional inventor who dreams big, hoping one day to create an invention that would change his family’s life.

Maximus (Tangled)

One of the most famous horses ever in a cartoon is this stubborn, stern and strict horse who is very easily distracted. He is a palace horse for the Royal Guard of Corona, responsible for catching the thief Flynn Ryder. He is devoted to his work and doesn’t like being played with. But the most important thing for him is to do the right thing, nevertheless who this is connected with.

Mayor Leodore Lionheart (Zootopia)

He is the 52nd mayor of Zootopia, a charismatic lion who graduated from law school and worked as a City Hall counsellor prior to his new job. He is a pretty ambiguous character, complex and complicated, presenting himself as charming and noble, but at the same time has no problems in performing illegal activities to get what he wants.

McHorn (Zootopia)

Officer McHorn is a rhino who works as a police officer at the Zootopia Police Department. He has grey skin and brown eyes and is a serious and disinterested individual who can appear and be distant at times.

Meeko (Pocahontas)

Meeko is Pocahontas’ pet raccoon and one of her best friends, always trying to steal John Smith’s biscuits. He is a typical racoon, sly and cunning, mischievous, greedy and always ready to steal, especially food.

Megara (Hercules)

Meg is a cynical femme fatale who used to serve Hades’ reluctant minion but freed herself from this destiny. She is beautiful, with a slender body and long brown hair tied into a ponytail.

She is independent and free-spirited and doesn’t want to be told what to do. She is a strong woman who doesn’t need men to help her feel safe and is one of the most unusual and atypical Disney female characters.

Meilin “Mei” Lee (Turning Red)

Mei is a teenager who learns that she has the ability to turn into a giant red panda, which is a legend connected to the female members of her family. She is confident and dorky and has a group of loyal friends with whom she dreams of going to a concert by their favourite band. She loves school, especially maths and cares deeply about the environment. 

Melvin (Chicken Little)

Melvin is an alien, Kirby’s father and Tina’s husband and one of the antagonists in the movie who has even threatened to kill Chicken Little and his father. He is loud and bad-tempered, but he is also trying to hide his softer side and one of his biggest fears is to be separated from his son.

Mattias (Frozen 2)

Mattias is a soldier of Arendelle who was appointed as Agnarr’s official guard before being trapped in the Enchanted Forest. He is friendly, courageous and loyal and when he found out what his king had done, he decided to do the right thing and help Anna destroy the dam.

Mowgli (The Jungle Book)

Mowgli is a human child found and raised by wolves in the jungle. He is an average 10-year-old boy, kind, innocent and happy, but also insecure and rebellious. He builds a special bond with two other jungle residents, a happy-go-lucky bear Baloo and a down-to-earth panther Bagheera who are helping him escape the scary Bengal tiger, Shere Khan.

Miriam (Turning Red)

Miriam is one of Mei’s best friends, a tall and slim 13-year-old with curly ginger hair and green eyes, braces and freckles. She is carefree, funny and caring, seen as an outcast by Mei’s mother. She always cares for the rest of her group, especially Mei whom she is closest to.

Ming Lee (Turning Red)

Ming is Mei’s overprotective, caring mother, well aware of Mei’s possible destiny and simply wants to protect her from her own, but also the outer world. She is elegant and classy and cares for her appearance and position in the group of her visitors. She is hard working and a proud and devoted mother and wife.

Mike Wazowski (Monsters Inc)

Mike Wazowski is one of the main characters in this inventive movie, a small green one eyed monster with two small horns on his head. He is one of the scarers in his company, not a particularly scary and successful one. Best friend to the most accomplished monster Sulley, Mike is funny, smart and brave and very good with words, known for his quick and intelligent remarks.

Mickey Mouse (Mickey Mouse)

One of Disney’s most famous and well-known characters is this cheerful mouse with a rebellious personality. He is an underdog with a good heart, loved by his friends and always ready for an adventure and having a good time.

Minnie Mouse (Mickey Mouse)

Minnie is Mickey’s longtime girlfriend, usually depicted as a starving musician, songwriter and singer. She wears polka-dotted dresses and big head bows and is famous for her catchphrase “Yoo-hoo!”

She is feminine, classy and elegant, sweet to nearly everyone and full of love and affection with the ability to see good in anything. She is also intelligent and serves as a voice of reason among her friends.

Merlin (The Sword in the Stone)

The most famous wizard of all time is this white haired and bearded elderly man, extremely wise and an excellent teacher.

He believes that magic is not the only answer to all problems and despite his intelligence, he can be pretty forgetful and absentminded. 

Merida (Brave)

Merida is a Scottish princess from the kingdom of DunBroch. She is bold, headstrong and stubborn, with long curly ginger hair, freckles and big blue eyes. She is rebellious, daring, short-tempered and free-spirited and definitely not a typical kind of girl. She wants to take the matter into her hands and save everyone she needs to.
