Hidden ‘Agatha All Along’ Easter Eggs in the Trailer You Most Likely Missed

Share:

The first teaser trailer for ‘Agatha All Along’ has been released, offering a glimpse into the magical new installment in the MCU. The show will follow Agatha Harkness as she attempts to reclaim her magic after being imprisoned by the Scarlet Witch.

To achieve this, she must navigate the perilous Witches’ Road and recruit new witches to her coven. The teaser provides a preview of what’s to come and includes several Easter eggs. If you missed any, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!

There are numerous references to Westview

‘Agatha: All Along’ is a ‘WandaVision’ spinoff, so it’s no surprise that the trailer includes several nods to the original show. The first detective Agatha meets in the teaser is played by David A. Payton, who also portrayed Herb, Wanda’s and Vision’s neighbor in ‘WandaVision.’ They examine a body resembling Wanda, wearing jeans and a hoodie with blackened fingertips—an effect of using the Darkhold to cast magic.

This scene clearly references Wanda’s departure from Westview. After using the Darkhold, she had blackened fingertips, wore jeans and a hoodie, and is presumed dead following the events of ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.’ Additionally, the library card Agatha holds belongs to the “Westview” branch.

The numbers tell the whole story

When Agatha examines the library card alongside the most obvious reference—Wanda’s name—several numbers stand out, each potentially linked to the Marvel Universe and witchcraft in broader contexts.

Reality 53961 features Doctor Strange and Gina Atwater, a variation of Christine Palmer, with Gina assuming the role of Sorcerer Supreme. February 16 is Elizabeth Olsen’s birthday. August 28 commemorates Jack Kirby, the Marvel comic book artist who co-created Wanda Maximoff alongside Stan Lee. December 28, also present on the card, marks Stan Lee’s birthday. June 2 holds historical significance as the date of Bridget Bishop’s trial and conviction for witchcraft in Salem, Massachusetts.

Costumes worn in ‘WandaVision

In the trailer, when Agatha breaks free from Wanda’s spell, you can catch glimpses of the outfits she wore while trapped inside Wanda’s hex in Westview.

Salem Seven

The trailer features Florence + the Machine’s ‘Seven Devils’ as its soundtrack, possibly nodding to Salem Seven from Marvel Comics, who are expected to appear in the show. Agatha seeks the assistance of Salem Seven to navigate the witches’ road.

References to Joe Locke portraying Billy Maximoff, also known as Billy Kaplan or Wiccan

Recently confirmed, Joe Locke portrays Billy Kaplan in the series. In a notable scene from the trailer, he sports a red and white shirt with a blue sweatband, reminiscent of Billy Maximoff’s attire from the ‘WandaVision’ Halloween episode and Wiccan’s appearance in the comics. This strongly suggests Locke’s portrayal is linked to Wanda’s son in some capacity.

Agatha Harkness embarks on the Witches’ Road

Agatha Harkness will traverse the Witches’ Road to regain her powers. In the comics, Scarlet Witch utilized the Witches’ Road to resurrect Agatha, making this a clear nod to that storyline.
